    bahahahaha at clippers above us

these morons think that 45-50 wins is good enough for the 6th spot in the west, 50 yes, anything less than that no, you have to win 50 games to make the 8th spot in the west and the clippers are not going to magically turn into a 50 win team with blake griffin

It is to be expected!! We will be the dark horse of the West.
We should not expect too much so that when it comes we will all be delighted .
Consider this such an outfit is only looking at big names and forgets that a much weaker Rockets Team, last year, took the Lakers to 7 games.

We have team chemistry and depth, injuries shouldn't interfere with our steady performance this season. Coach Adelman, however, must give our young players a chance to develop. Some of our more senior players may have
to spend more time on the bench for this to happen. eg- Yao, Battier etc.

Not that i agree with their predictions, but you can't make a statement like that when it's all based on how much other teams win or lose. You dont automatically make it because you win 50 games. The last 3 teams last year won exactly 50 wins. If just the rockets and clippers would have been healthy there would have been a shift in wins/losses and at least one playoff team would not have reached 50 wins.

Haters gonna hate. Rockets can win 50, without Yao, which I consider the minimum number of victories to squeak into the playoffs.

Its possible we miss the playoffs. Its not like this team is a juggernaught and we know for usre Yao is gona make it through the season or even a onth of play? I am not sold on this roster and they seem content every year to field marginal playoff fringe teams. I am not content as a fan of barely winning basketball or losing too but like watching basketball.

with ANY other player (well, cept T-Mac) your post would be true, but with Yao, it is very reasonable to assume he's going to get hurt again, in fact it is a major concern for Houston.

really? cause i'd say you have more to go on arguing he's gonna get hurt than that he's gonna stay healthy.

since the start of the 05/06 season, the Houston Rockets have played 410 regular season games....

Yao has played in 207 of those 410 games, right at about half of the games.

He's older and he's coming off surgery. Guys his height have not had long careers....we talked about that when we drafted him, even.

Why in the world would I ASSUME he'll stay healthy? I sure as hell hope he does...but I don't assume that at all.

Nothing. Its unimportant. Probably wont get done to talk about it. So its of no use asking or talking. Yao will still be here past the deadline and so will our marginal chances at getting past the first round every year.

i don't know if they did or not...but i'd have shopped Yao. i don't think it makes sense to hold on any longer. but i know they will, come hell or high water...so i hope he proves me wrong.

Why should we care about what some dumb analyst says? Just let the players play and we'll see who comes out on top.

Just a sports blog. It was sold for 7 figures so it has a decent following.
