Hill has a good chance, even though there's a better chance it happens in reverse.

If we make it to the playoffs, I will help put together a tailgate. We can't have a grill because of city ordinances but we can make something work.

This was a great idea for a thread! I love this!
My senior prom I had a Rockets Red colored dress because Rockets were in the playoffs when I bought it and my whole grade knew me as the Rockets fan. I made the bet if the Rockets were still in playoffs by the time my prom was (which would've been in the third round) I would have sewn a giant Rockets logo on the front of my dress, but we didnt make it that far that year. My mom was sure glad I didn't do that, and I think so was my date.

Wish I could get the Ron Artest Rockets logo cut if I weren't a girl. I could do the Rhianna side of my head shave, but no.

    So, my bet is,
if we make it to the 3rd round of playoffs, I will get my cars' seats covered Rockets themed. Red and black seat covers and I'll put Rockets logos on them. If we make it to the finals, I'll get the matching floor mats.

2nd Round- I will get my belly button pierced for the sole purpose that I can put in a really cute Rockets belly button ring/charm I've been eyeing on eBay.

Side Note: Wow. Awesome. I just want everyone to know that Rockets247 does not represent the views or mentalities of all or even some of the Red Rowdies. SHUT UP ROCKETS 247!
I've spent a great deal of time trying to give people on this board a better understanding and good impression of the Red Rowdies. You threw some peoples' maybe once positive views of the Red Rowdies away in a matter of a couple of posts. Good job. Not that I "care what other people think" but as an organization that is part of the Rockets, I want the Rowdies to be viewed in a good light because we are also there, I believe, to enhance the game experience for the other fans. It also puts me in an awkward position as an active member of both the Red Rowdies and Clutchfans. Please never ever speak of your involvement with the Red Rowdies on this board again. Seriously. You can contact me outside of Clutchfans if you want to speak to me about this, but please don't continue to post in this thread unless it is a bet.

I've been fortunate to enjoy both the Red Rowdies fan community as well as the Clutchfans community, and I hate when people from the two communities butt heads. Rowdies go to games, we do what we're supposed to do- cheer on the team while standing in 114. It's up to the rest of the fans to do what they want. Before I was a Rowdy I wasn't yelling my face off or standing at home games. It wasn't until I became a Rowdy where I found it my duty as a RED ROWDY not as a FAN to yell my face off and stand the whole game. Now I love experiencing the game as a Red Rowdy, but I realize that experience is not for everyone. When I'm no longer a Red Rowdy, for whatever reason, I'm not going to be "less of a fan". I'll probably be purchasing my own season tickets if I still live within 2 hrs of Houston and my work schedule fits. If not, I'll be watching on TV. Won't make me less of a fan, just like it doesn't make all of you less of a fan for not being a Red Rowdy. Please excuse Rockets247 everyone. Don't let his postings influence your overall views of the Red Rowdies, just like a person shouldn't make a judgement of all of the posters on Clutchfans by judging only one user.

If we win the championship, I will get a tattoo of Hakeem's AND Yao's faces (3" minimum each) somewhere on my person.

    BAM!

I'm a man of my word.
I will do it within a month of the finals. 100%.
Wife will be PISSED...but there's little worse than a bet "Welsher". I haven't spoken to my (once VERY close) cousin in over three years over an unpaid $300 football bet. F that, man up and pay your bets. I will.

Winner right there. Was going to post something just like that last night, but sleep won over instead.

You're sorta like the face of the fans, so represent your self in a good light. Carry yourself right. Be Chauncey, not JR Smith.

If the rockets advance to the finals, I will ask a player from the opposing team's wife to marry me at the game.

Thanks RocketGirl. I can't speak for everyone, but as the official first person to call that dude out  , let me just briefly say, and I hope others agree, that I didn't get any ill will towards the Rowdies in general from just one person's rather silly opinion. The Rowdies have a purpose that they're fulfilling and most of them are incidentally serious fans and awesome people- not because they're Rowdies, but along with being Rowdies.....Peace

You can call me lame then. I sit in my seats, enjoy the game, and usually
wear some sort of buttoned down shirt and slacks, because I have a job that I usually have to come straight from.

Guess what, though? I follow the Rockets just as much as you do. I'm a firm believer in the team should make you cheer. Do you think we had these problems during the championship years? I don't think a small section in the back of the lower bowl baseline yelling is going to do anything but annoy the people around you and prove you have the time to make it to every game. During the Lakers game and Monday at the Wizards game I was up and cheering. But when we are down by 7 in the 3rd quarter and Kevin Martin is shooting free throws, don't expect me to stand up and chant "MVP" with you.

But honestly, to each his own. I probably could sit down and have a very good Rockets debate with you, but instead we are b****ing about the fans in the stands.

Because you can get to a game early, in costume, and yell cliche phrases for 2.5 hours, doesn't make you any different from me, other than I haven't completely shed my dignity.

Its much easier to say "bring your screaming to the arena" when your tix are already paid for. Did you ever happen to stop and think that maybe the fans that don't come out to Rockets games have bigger obligations other than being at the games? Perhaps a job, perhaps school, or perhaps lack of finances to be able to go to game, perhaps (like many CFs) not living in Houston?

Unlike some fans, i feel that i'm lucky enough to live in the great city of Houston, and be able to go to at least 5 games a year - and many GREAT fans cant do that for whatever reason - it doesnt make me a better fan and them any less of a fan.

I agree with you on some points you've made about Toyota Center being quiet, and it IS frustrating! I'll give you that! But dont sell the fans short, cuz Houston does have some great and passionate fans!

Would i love to have the OKC Thunder - college bball-like atmosphere in ALL-RED OUT/WHITE OUT? ABSOLUTELY! That would be freaking BADASS! But its tough to do that when big companies buy out a bunch of the tix and then try to sell em for profit or give them out to clients who end up not showing up to the games.

Ok... now with all that being said... to my bet -

    1) Short-term:
Rockets beat the Heat - $10 in the tip jar
    OR
If the Rockets win at least 7 of their next 10 - $10 in the tip jar

If they do BOTH - then $25 in the jar.

    2) Long-term: If the Rockets make to the WCF, i will shave my head (not skin-head bald), dye it red AND grow a beard, dye it red, and shave the Rockets logo into my beard. I will provide pics! The lady-friend will probably kill me for it... but the Rockets are my first love

Adding to my sig so yall can dog on me if i dont fulfill my end of the bet :)
