I really hate that they were matched up...It'll also be a shame to see two of the Fugees, De La Soul, Common, and Talib to be bounced so early. That said, the work Kanye is doing is amazing. There is no doubt in my mind that his name will be on the two best rap albums of the year(Common's BE and his own Late Registration/Freshman Adjustment...whatever he decides to call it). The Roots, Common, and De La all have my utmost respect...just tough seeding.

Like I said before, I'm not trying to **tch and moan about a music thread to try and bring it down, but I just wanted to voice my opinion on the kind of rap I like, so I hope that's not too much of a problem. I love "Clint Eastwood." It's such a tight, original song. I just turned it on it fact... I'm sure you've heard their new single, "Feel Good, Inc." right? It's different, but that's the Gorillaz. Okay, so I just went and looked them up. I refuse to believe they made the most money in the 90's. I just cant begin to comprehend that. Master P and Silkk, etc. are okayyy, but man, #1 eh? Man... Duuuuuuude!!! The line is "I like em black white, chinese or even haitan." I'm not gonna make a fuss about him being wrongly left out, though, because it doesn't seem like there are enough people here that would vote for him anyways. Jackpot is such a tight album; I can't find a bad track on it - you're right about that. Powerballin' is good, too, if you like Chingy. And, how can anyone not like Chingy? ha.... Yeah, I tried gettin' into "Better Dayz." I probably didn't give it enough of a chance. I listened to it all one time through and only found two songs I'd wanna hear again. "Still Ballin" Feat. Trick Daddy off that CD might just be my favorite song by him, that or "California Love." The thing is, 2Pac was just a tad bit before my time. I'm sure this is gonna sound stupid, but I don't care about the lyrics from any rapper. I'm all about the beats. If the beats are hittin', then any lyric/voice sounds good to me. That's why I don't like the underground guys on here; their beats just aren't the same. That is why I love LIL JON!! I would say he is definitely one of the top 3 producers today. His stuff just pumps me up! I love 'em all. Have you heard Lloyd Banks's "The Hunger for More" - I would easily put it ahead of "Straight Outa Ca$hville." Banks is the best rapper in all of G-Unit, in my opinion. If anyone wants a great song from Banks, get "Work Magic." "Get Rich or Die Trying" is one of the best CD's ever if you ask me, and the amazing thing is, I can't decide if that that or "The Massacre" is better. 50 Cent annoyed me some with that dispute with the Game a while back, and I know a lot of people on this board definitely don't like him. Still, there's a reason his CD was the highest selling CD OF ANY GENRE in '02. And, he is going to have the highest selling album of 2005 also. Who else does that, c'mon. Wow! I'm surprised you went with Luda, but I'm really glad you did. That's a great point you made; Dre is one of the best at producing/scouting, but his actual music isn't the same. I love Dre, but anyone whose listened to all his stuff vs. Luda's KNOWS that he just can't compare. Ludacris could have gotten a higher seed possibly then both these greats could have avoided each other so soon. VOTE LUDACRIS!!!!! Ha I think my new priority on this board should just be to cause you total disbelief in the music threads; I'm real good at doing it. ..... I'll definitely check that CD out; I've followed all your previous advice and you haven't steered me wrong yet. Thanks
Wow, we're as far apart on rap as possible. I think that Chingy should just go away. The kid from "Smart Guy" made "One Call Away" a decent pop song, and the rest is just bad, man. Right Thurr??? I like good, creative beats, but when it comes down to it, I want to hear some good, meaningful lyrics. Common, Nas, Talib...

Yeah I'm pretty big on G-Unit, I have all the albums and have listened to them all a lot. I think Buck just stood out above Banks and 50 on the Beg for Mercy album though, 50 has the fame, Banks has the best lines, but I just like the way Buck does his thing. Also Luda's b****SMACK of T.I. on the original version of Young Buck's "Stomp" is one of the main reasons I put him slightly ahead of Dre as an MC. Nobody doubts the greatness of The Chronic and The Chronic 2001, But Luda is one of the few who can do it all. Chingy doesn't do much for me, but I did like "One Call Away" SHE'Z WIT HUR MOM AT BANK A-MURRRKA

I have the CD but had only heard that track once and a long time ago. I just went and read the lyrics and listened to it and ohhh snap! Luda really gave it to him. You're so right about him doing it all; he sounded hard on that, but then you go hear "Number One Spot" or my latest favorite by him "Blueberry Yum Yum" and it's all different and funny. Best in the game!
I'm confused, how has UGK only been picked once on a Houston site? Riding Dirty is an all time classic album. Every thing they touch is good. Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin" was good because of UGK. Snoop is OK but UGK should win. Especially because most of you are from Houston.
