    1) Eminem
    16) Jadakiss
I like Jada, but everyone knows how amazing Em is. Not only is he one of the best rappers, but he represents for all the white boys out there like me.

    8) Eazy-E
    9) The D-O-C
I know you prefer the underground guys more moe, but is this tourney gonna be as it could be when most people won't know a lot of guys on here? Who the hell is D-O-C??

    5) The Geto Boys
    12) Blackalicious
The foundation is a tight CD.

    4) De La Soul
    13) The Fugees
    Abstain

    6) Kool G Rap
    11) Big Daddy Kane
    Who?

    3) A Tribe Called Quest
    14) DMX
I'm not saying DMX is one of the top rappers, definitely not, but mainstreamers are getting the short end of the stick in this...

    7) Kool Moe Dee
    10) Mobb Deep
Kool Moe Dee, who? With a name like that, man...

    2) Jay-Z
    15) The Pharcyde
    Obviously

    1) Tupac
    16) Fabolous
I tried getting into Pac, but his music just doesn't have enough tight beats for me to like more then 15 songs by him. Fab on the other hand, I have all his CD's.

    8) Busta Rhymes
    9) EPMD
    Who the hell is EPMD??

    5) Slick Rick
    12) 3-6 Mafia
Goin' with the guys I've heard stuff by again

    4) KRS-One
    13) Pete Rock and CL Smooth
    Abstain...who

    6) 50 Cent
    11) G-Unit Records (Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, The Game)
2nd worst matchup in this. This is just cruel and unusual that these two seeds are matched together. EPSECIALLY WHEN 50 IS G-UNIT!:mad: The bottom three are all underrated, so I'll vote for them, but I love all four. Why this matchup.:(

    3) Public Enemy
    14) Brand Nubian
    Abstain, lack of knowledge

    7) Mos Def
    10) Cypress Hill
    Rock Superstar is a classic.

    2) Nas
    15) Jurassic 5

"Bridging the Gap" is a real cool song.

    1) Run DMC
    16) Twista
I gotta vote for the faster flower there was/is/most likely will be.

    8) Bone Thugs & Harmony
    9) Ma$e
Ma$e shouldn't stand a chance. If Thugs lose, it's because people are going off name recognition instead of music.

    5) Snoop Dogg
    12) UGK
UGK needs to "Step Yo Game Up" to hang with the big bo$$ Dogg.

    4) LL Cool J
    13) T.I.
T.I. is the King of da South, and a King SHOULD go to the second round.

    6) Talib Kweli
    11) Common Sense
    Abstain

    3) Notorious B.I.G
    14) Xzibit
X to da Z draws a horrible 1st round matchup. I'm votin' for who I like more. Plus, hosting Pimp My Ride has gotta count for something.

    7) Ice Cube
    10) Del The Funkee Homosapien
This 10 has THE worst name ever for a rapper; amazing I haven't heard of him before with a name so bad.

    2) Outkast
    15) Redman
Outkast is so original, I mean they titled a CD, "southernplayalisticcadillacmuzik."

    1) Eric B and Rakim
    16) No Limit Records
Some of these seeds may need ( ) explaining who they consist of; this one is a good example.

    8) The Roots
    9) Kanye West
Kanye has had one of the better debuts for quite a while now.

    5) Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5
    12) Big Pun
    Abstain

    4) Wu-Tang Clan
    13) Queen Latifah
    Abstain

    6) GangStarr
    11) Ice-T
    Abstain

    3) The Beastie Boys
    14) Nelly
Even though "Over and Over" is one of the worst songs ever made, he deserves to be in the second round.

    7) Dr Dre
    10) Ludacris
This is the worst matchup of all-time.:mad: Dr. Dre is a legend; Ludacris should be a legend when he's done rappin'. LUDA is #1 in the game today!

    2) N.W.A
    15) Cash Money Records (Juvenile, Lil Wayne, Baby, B.G.)
I love the Big Tymers, Hot Boyz, and all this group. Good stuff

Lil Jon & The East Side Boyz!!!!
    Chingy
    J-Kwon
    Lil' Scrappy & Trillville!!!!
    Ying Yang Twins
Lil' Flip, Slim Thug, Paul Wall, Chamillionaire, Mike Jones, and the rest of the H-town connection.

Sorry for the complaining. You've run a good tourney, moe. I'm just more of a mainstream guy myself, and I wanted to show my love for 'em.

    ^^^^^^^
How do you not know who Del the Funkee Homosapie, Kool Moe Dee, Big Daddy Kane, KRS-One, Pete Rock and C.L. Smooth, Public Enemy, GangStarr or Eric B. and Rakim are?

Seriously, that's amazing for someone who claims to be a rap fan.

rockets#1 you sound like me in the rock threads.

Seriously though, You should check out Del, He is one of the most innovative rappers out there. Maybe you know the song "Clint Eastwood" by Gorillaz? Del is the one rapping on that.
Dude has a song where he does a whole verse with nothing but words that start with the letter v. insane tyoe ****.

No Limit Records is a joke of a record company talent wise, but they made the most cash of anyone in the game somehow during the 90s. My best friend loves everything they do and I hate them with a passion so I jiust threw them in the tourney to get blown away in the 1st round.

Chingy will never be on this list sorry
anyone who says "I like em black white, chinese or even asian" cannot be on this list. Jackpot is a pretty cool album though.

I think Fabolous has incredible talent (Check out a mixtape he is on with Lloyd Banks and T.I, he more than holds his own.) But He can never, ever match up against 2pac. If you can't get into Older Pac I suggest you try the "Better Dayz" Album, they have new school beats backing up the best flower in the game.

    Now for my Votes

    1) Eminem
Not the brightest guy in the game, but probably the most entertaining. Hilarious, serious or just plain kick ass. he's done it all.

    9) The D-O-C
West Coast Flava, The D-O-C gets love here, RIP To Eazy.

    12) Blackalicious
    I just love their style.

    4) De La Soul
    Great rhymers.

    6) Kool G Rap
There is a reason every rapper who thinks he is great compares himself to Kool G.

    3) A Tribe Called Quest
DMX had a few good albums, TCQ changed the game.

    10) Mobb Deep
Mostly only because I love Prod's verse on Shook Ones Pt 2.

    2) Jay-Z
Jay gets a little too much love IMO, I won't be voting for him much more.

    SOUTH REGION

    1) Tupac
I don't have to even explain

    8) Busta Rhymes
Twista doesn't have **** on Bussa-Buss... check out "Break ya Neck" if you don't believe me.

    5) Slick Rick
A true Wizard of the Flow.

    4) KRS-One
KRS influenced one of my favorite bands, Sublime.

    11) G-Unit Records (Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, The Game)
I Love Get Rich or Die Trying more than any other album, but Young Buck is quickly becoming my favorite and 50 has been pissing me off lately with his bull****.

    3) Public Enemy
To say Chuck-D held it down is an understatement.

    7) Mos Def
    Ford Prefect, Rhymes Perfect.

    2) Nas
Tough, but Nas is the most lyrically gifted rapper alive. He would be #1 easily if he had a mainstream voice and beats.

    WEST REGION

    1) Run DMC
    No explanation needed again.

    8) Bone Thugs & Harmony

    5) Snoop Dogg
    Doggystyle, all in your earhole.

    13) T.I.
Going with a big upset here, I respect LL's longevity but T.I is all the sudden creating quite a buzz around the Country and he could end up being one of the GOATS.

    6) Talib Kweli
I just don't care much for Common's flow, and Talib rivals Nas lyrically.

    3) Notorious B.I.G
I love X, but Biggie gets his due for now.

    10) Del The Funkee Homosapien
Cube held it down, but he needs to stop starring in gay movies. Del is one of my favs.

    2) Outkast
Kast easily my favorite duo of all time.

    NORTH REGION

    1) Eric B and Rakim
You could put Macho Man Randy Savage against No Limit and I'd vote for the Slim Jim.

    9) Kanye West
I hate myself for this, Kanye is just too promising even though I really love The Roots.

    5) Grandmaster Flash and the Furious 5
I'm not too much into Old School, but i like these dudes.

    4) Wu-Tang Clan
The members in this group ranged from Exceptional to Very Good and a couple Above Average.

    6) GangStarr
    I hate Law and Order.

    14) Nelly
I could listen to Ride Wit Me all day, he will go further in the pop tourney though.

    10) Ludacris
**** me again, ****. I have to go with Luda, he's too dominant and Dre as an MC isn't quite as great as Dre the procuder/talent scout.

    2) N.W.A
Here is where Dre, Eazy and Cube live on in my vote.

Jay-z overrated no way! IMHO he is the greatest to ever do it. The Blueprint, Reasonable Doubt,Volume 2, The Black Album. Speaks alone. That is just the music. He is President of Defjam, First rapper with A MAJOR shoe deal. Albums with R.Kelly, Linkin Park(Pretty nice album). He really changed the game. Enough Said.;)

    Come on people...The Roots!!!

They got robbed of a much lower seed and now their getting beat by a one-album, albeit a good album, wonder. When Kanye West puts out as many solid efforts as The Roots (and yes, I know he's an outstanding producer), then they should be mentioned in the same breath.

    rockets #1:

You have said some things in these tourney threads that have absolutely blown my mind but not knowing who Eric B & Rakim has to be the most mind blowing of them all!! Seriously, you need to pick up "Paid in Full". You will thank me later - trust me.

Overall, an excellent job moe with the seedings with the EXCEPTION of Ice Cube - he probably should have been a #3 or #4 seed but I know how hard these things are to seed. A matchup I would like to see in the 2nd round is Dr. Dre going up against himself along with Eazy, Cube, Ren, and Yella!

Just reminisce about ten years back or so and half of these names might ring a bell....like this one above.

But hey I can understand.....I forgot about Ill and Al Skratch until I was reminded a few days ago by my friends here on the BBS. It happens to the best of us.
