Wedman with the rainbow jump shot with so much arch it came down wet. His best years were with the Kansas City Kings. In Boston, he was just a shell of his former self.

How about Paul Arizin, Dolph Schayes, Easy Ed McCauley, Terry Cummings, and Jerry Lucas?

Andres Nocioni is Wendall Ladner without the mustache.

Strong as bull, shoots too many threes, athletic and often out of control.

    Bernard King,

Just an unstoppable scoring machine at the SF. He would be a household name if his carrer had not been cut short by a knee injury.

Speaking of Rainbow jumpshot anyone remember Purvis Short?

A sidenote about Alex English and Bernard King anyone remember the acting careers? Alex English starred in a major release movie, I can't remember the name, and I recall Bernard King doing a few guest spots on shows like Miami Vice. Both of then did pretty good jobs as actors, better than Shaq or Rodman, so I always thought it was too bad they didn't do more acting after their basketball careers were over.

Prettiest jump shot I ever saw, because of the arc and accuracy. I tried to emulate it when I was a kid. Wish I could see some video of that.

nate thurmond was one of the greatest centers EVER. to not know about him shows that you really have no history of the game, sorry. top 10 center of all-time and people still don't show him respect.

plus, andrew toney was a lights out shooter and very good defender. only if he wasn't injured for a good part of his career with bad feet.

i didn't read all of these so i don't know if he's been said but i think the most underappreciated player ever is Dominque Wilkins. he was a truly GREAT PLAYER. it wasn't his fault he didn't play for the celtics, lakers, pistons, or bulls. he didn't have a great jumper but he may be one of the top 5 scorers i've ever seen. he could get the tin at will and wasn't afraid to pull a windmill with 5 seconds left in the game. plus he was a great rebounder for a SG and an underrated defender.

Andrew Toney replaced an injured Lionell Hollins, who had been a staple in the Philadelphia lineup at shooting guard, either the year before or the year that the Sixers swept the championship. Hollins was a very good player in his own right, great left handed shooter. He never got his job back though. Toney's career was cut short with the foot problems.

right on! bernard king was beyond awesome. before his knee injury he had the athleticism of the superstars of today but he had it without the advanced training methods and supplements.

    Absolutely!

My all-time favorite NBA player as a kid: Dave Bing.
