Actually, I have, and I would rank him in my top five concerts of all time. His energy on stage in amazing, and his band is tight. He had a great rapport with the audience, and seemed to be having a blast. My best concerts of all time are: 1. Pink Floyd - Momentary Lapse of Reason tour, Summit, Houston, TX. 2. nine inch nails - nothing tour, 1995, numbers, houston, tx. 3. Dave Matthew Band - Before These Crowded Streets tour, Southpark Meadows, Austin, TX. 4. Weird Al - Off The Deep End tour 5. nine inch nails - pretty hate machine tour, 1990, numbers, houston, tx.
I can't believe no one has mentioned The Roots. They are the best live band today... and they tour nonstop.

I saw some of the roots set. It really wasn't that hot. Have you ever checked out the North Mississippi Allstars featuring Al Capone. That's some cool ****.

oh... and... Though Pink Floyd at the dome was great, and though nine inch nails was great at all three concerts I went to, and though the Eagles were also fantastic... ... I still have to say that RUSH put on the best concert I've ever been to.

Sweet! I was lucky enough to see Zappa several times, and he was an incredible guitar player. You wouldn't know just how good he was going just by his LP's, which were amazing enough. What a find. Thanks! Brings back good memories. (the other guy wasn't bad, either. ) I'd have to go with Hendrix and the Experience as the best live band, with Jimi's Band of Gypsys a close second. The Kinks were far out live. Just too much. Countless others were great as well, like the Elevators. Someday I should make a list of people I saw, lol!
How can you say who the best live band of all time is? Everyone is going to have different opinions. With that being said, I'll have to say the best show I've ever seen is the Living Colour show in Houston 1988. oomp and anyone else who was at that show at Club Xcess would probably agree. However, I'm hoping that that show finally gets eclipsed on June 29th at the Toyota Center. I have a feeling it will, at least in my mind.
Jimi Hendrix Experince- Just incredible rock Jethro Tull- Ian Anderson running beserk on the flute (pretty awesome) Could list some more but I am definately old.
