you guys suck...I just finished my first season playing aussie rules here in seattle. We sucked it up at nationals a few weeks back losing to santa cruz, philly, and chicago...still good times though. Dont knock it till you try it!
There's no point in an argument since you're not shaking anyone of their opinion, and we're not shaking yours, but do you not see the benefits of not wearing padding? Proponents of rugby(and it's variations) always bring up how athletic their athletes are, but I just watched the clips provided in that link(And SRJ's link from a while back), and I have honestly seen more impressive plays made by NFL'ers wearing all 1000 pounds of padding. Anyway...seems like a fun game, but you are all clearly forgetting about basketball.
Australian rules Foosball is my favorite game, its very fun and you don't have a coach or wear any pads.
my apologies for forgetting to actually say "Australian Rules football" in this thread - i did in the thread that got me to write this one. i had to rush finishing the thread due to catching up with a casual... (i was actually still typing when i should've left home). the official site is www.afl.com.au but it sucks unless you subscribe/pay to get video. did people bother to watch the clip? awesome athletes in action. good effort playing in the US. what position do you play? I did say there was minor leagues around the world, just not on a professional level. It's the rest of the worlds loss...
Rugby is some aggressive @#$%! I mean seriously, they kick tghe !@#$ out of each other with out a ny pads. Watching it is insane, I am not a fan of Rugby but man...these guys really do fight a lot. They are true athletes. There are no tougher athletes than Rugby players.
as a general rule, they're too stupid to notice any thing, including when someone is standing on their head. but they are tough b*stards. you can watch rugby union (the world cup is on now), but rugby league is a farce of a sport.
My friends and I have just started playing Madden 2004 on PS2. At the start (a few weeks ago) we knew absolutely nothing about the game, now we are starting to understand a bit more of it. ALthough I wouldn't call any of us experts. Still, it's got us all into it, and the game seems more strategic than I ever thought.
i play in the back pocket. i enjoy putting people on the ground, staring over them, and laughing as they scream in pain. good times...
What allows the MLB and NBA to call their respective championships the "world championships" is that both leagues have many international players. Baseball is entering an era in which it will be dominated by players from Latin + Asian countries.
The sport name was not described in the original post The pic is of a few players jumping in the air trying to catch an unidentifiable ball I don't recognize any of the players or their jerseys (probably because I don't follow Australian football) The pic is linked from site : http://www.realfooty.theage.com.au whose URL does not directly indentify what it's about - gotta surf there to see. Same goes for the hyperlink that he posted, which points to http://collingwoodfc.com.au.
Yeah, I thought this thread was about Rugby, until almost halfway down the page someone finally figures out this is Aussie Football. either way, they're both pretty brutal sports.
The catch cry of someone not up to playing Rugby League. union is a really tough game. Infact it took Sailor, Rogers and Tuqiri weeks before they really worked it out! LOL Put the Grand Final up against any sporting contest in the world. better still, State Of Origin 1. The winner is Rugby League!!!!
