No. (1) Mark Jackson couldn't get along with the front office; if Morey is still around, it'll only be worse here. (2) Mark Jackson creates drama. We need a coach that neutralizes drama. (3) Mark Jackson's top priority is Mark Jackson.

JVG probably isn't coming here, imo. But, since you're using him as a foil. You're right he didn't get us out of the first round and he played a frustrating slow-it-down offense. But, to his credit, he showed good leadership, enforcing strict discipline and yet still eliciting strong loyalty from his players. And he built a top defensive team. He didn't take the Rockets far, but he had gone far with the Knicks. I think he's still a bit of a flawed coach who sacrifices too much offense for diminishing returns on defense, and who perhaps is better at making a regular season performer than a team that can kick it up for the playoffs. But he's a hundred times better than Mark Jackson.

I'll take JVG , he took the Knicks to the Finals, he's a good coach. I'm not sure why TF everybody acts like he is another JBB!!

Kerr is still using the same offense that Mark put in place... All he did was simplify the offense..

No he's not. This is false. Steve Kerr is running the triangle offense that Phil uses

Winning 51 games is crazy now?

The offensive plan is great, but let's not act like that offense isn't driven by the greatest shooting back-court in the history of the NBA. But even if you want to give him more credit, don't forget to realize that Curry was OBVIOUSLY being underutilized with Jackson. He has now won back2back MVPs since Kerr showed up, and that's on the coach, whether that be scheme, mentality or focus.

I feel like just as a rule of thumb. Whenever a team fires a HC, and the following season that same roster wins it all and follows it up w/ the greatest regular season of all time, I want nothing to do with him.

They run a BASIC Weave system... Mark tried to implement the entire system and Kerr toned it down to the basic system.

People also forget that the warriors had not been to the playoffs since the 2006 - 2007 season.

This is the horrible logic, and 95% of you seem to be using it.

    2011-12 23-43

    2012-13 47-35

    2013-14 51-31

    Is that not called improvement?

The Rockets improved record wise each year under McHale up until this year.

McHale good at coaching or did young players get better and the overall teams talent improve?

I'd say in both Jackson and McHales situations the teams succes had much more to do with improved roster talent than their ability to coach.

Nothing to do with Kerr having more success than him and everything to do with him being an asshat.

Steve Kerr had absolutely nothing to do with Jackson's success lol. Also what was GS record before Mark Jackson got there? Who exactly made them relevant again?

Are jackson proponent(s) aware that he turns by spreading malicious lies one player against the other to get more power in the lockeroom?

    LMFAO

    No....

    That isn't happening.

Mark Jackson and Van Gundy are polar opposites, and their philosophies are very different.

Want to know you Van Gundy would like to bring with him?

He was too busy porking women in his church.... blowing off practices.... getting Curry and Thompson involved with his Church.... and taking credit for what his assistant coaches did putting in all the hard work.

Jackson had an exceptional assistant staff, he was a lazy, selfish hypocritical blow hard.
