It's very good stuff, they were serving that at the local Oktoberfest I went to a few weeks back, great stuff!
I drank Grolsch a few times a long time ago and it was outstanding - probably the best beer I ever had. I saw some in a store and convinced a friend to drink some with me and they were horrible. Tried it again and it was average. Another friend then told me that heat really effects the taste of beer. When some imports come into Texas they are not cooled properly and it effects the quality.
Yeah, I think that is also why Heineken has that piss aftertaste. It doesn't have that in the Netherlands I've found that Grolsch is good at supermarkets, but not so good at convenience stores. and finals...Kozel is good
I'll take a Sam Jackson.... Mmmm... Mmmm.. That's because it doesn't keep well and is frequently skunked in bottles. Leffe is not that highly regarded in Belgium FWIW. You don't really see it in that many places because they have so many better options. Most bars have Chimay bleu on draft and bottles of Westmalle, Rochefort, and the other trappists that are hard to find here.
not sure if I can pick one I can tell you what to stay away from and thats KingFisher from India... we indians can do a lot of things such as drink a lot of beer but making beer is a different story. dont believe me? <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/UdboD4p10Os&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/UdboD4p10Os&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
It's funny, of all the beers I've ever had, I can only think of two beers I've had that stick out in my mind as being absolutely atrocious: a microbrew called b**** Creek (which has won tons of awards, maybe it was skunked) and Heineken. There have been a few beers that I didn't care for when I drank them the first time around, but on the second or third try I appreciated. They might not be my favorite, but I could see how people might like them (Guinness and Sam Adams come to mind). On the other hand, I've tried Heineken several times thinking I'm just missing something...but no, it tastes like complete garbage to me. It's really the only beer that I will openly bash. I'm not a particularly picky beer drinker, either.
Probably best bang for your buck, but not best of all-time. I am so happy that Yuengling has come into my life, but unfortunately I almost never drink now.
I be all about that Miller Lite. Also enjoy Guinness, Heineken, Shiner Bock, Michelob Ultra. I know a lot of people who like Heineken and a lot of people who hate it. Seems to be very polarizing. I think its pretty good personally. But I am by no means a beer snob, I just drink whatever is cheap and not piss-water.
