Anybody have a date for the re-releasing Air Jordan VIII? Those were the best to me, if anybody knows of a re-releasing of these please let me know. Dead stock bids on ebay were up to $375.00 the last time I checked!

The new "And1 Silky Smooth" can be found at Academy for like 49 bucks or 59. I tried a pair on this weekend, and they're quite nice. I may buy them.

I'd still go with the older Kobe 1s if I could find them though . . .

I wear Wink DMX's when I ball although I have a pair of Shox.

Anyone know when the next generation of Wink DMX's are coming out?

What is Steve currently wearing? Those look like Nikes.

I had Steve sign my my shoebox last year. He cracked up when he saw my shoe size

Man all shoes out now are ugly as hell and is everyone runing now because it seems that almost all the shoes out now are cross trainers!

If I wear anything it would be Addidas or And1 all other shoes are to far out there now,I want some plain shoes, well not plain but I dont want more designs than holes for shoestrings on my shoes!

I love ebay (made lots of money off of it), but a word to the wise is sufficient, when buying shoes off of ebay:

MAKE SURE you're getting deadstock (unused)

MAKE SURE that if you're buying expensive shoes (read Jordan XVIs), you are NOT getting fakes. They are out there, and the difference can be diffucult to spot unless you know your stuff well (and then, they are obvious forgeries)

Watch out for people selling shoes that were factory rejects or something. You can go to NIke Outlet, get a shoe that didn't pass inspection (usually minor infraction), then sell it on ebay as a normal shoe and no one is the wiser.

Otherwise, ebay is a great place to find those "difficult to come by" shoes.

BTW, for a definitive guide on all the air jordans, check http://www.air-jordans.com

The new site redesign is slower, but more comprehensive than the old one. This'll give you a good benchmark to make sure you know what you're looking for -- the jordan XVI line is especially broad, and there are about a dozen variations (not including the rare ones you'll find on NikeTalk, or other shoe sites.

If you don't care about the colorway of the Jordans, I saw some of the Purple/white (whisperwood or something like that) at the Nike Outlet for 79 or 69 . . . I'd have bought them, but I don't like the purple colorway at all . . . now the suede :)

The Wink DMX's are the best basketball shoes. :D Here's a close up picture of Kobe's red, white, and blue shoes.

I coach bball a bit and I always tell my players to get the team shoes that are advertised in east bay. they are actually made to be worn in a basketball game. not as a fashion statement. Plus they are usually a bit cheaper. I have a pair that are 3 years old and still going strong. Not that i play a lot of ball in them

As mentioned further up, Reebok's Answer IV DMX are an excellent shoe, although the all-around cushioning wasn't as good as I was expecting. Playing in these shoes was a pleasure, until I got a pair of mesh The Kobe's, which are absolutely great. Since I got these in the summer, I've hardly worn AI's shoes at all. Since these are both last season's shoes, I'd snap either pair up

The Kobes are really nice -- I'm not a big Kobe fan, but I love his shoes . . .

And they have the kickass ice blue ones at Oshman's for 99 bucks . . .
