For people claiming injury: then don't play!! Like Lin last year, there's only so much you can force, when you're hurting the team, just don't play and ask the coach to sit you. It's of course on the coach to pull you if he sees you are hurting the team. Start Garcia and have Brewer or a combo of Lin/AB off the bench at guard and we'll see from there if that's the case.

Sorry if this has been brought up earlier in the thread, but I believe McHale benched Harden last year in like the Denver or Indiana game, also. McHale will sit guys if he doesn't like how they are playing, no matter who they are. That's my opinion, anyways.

Harden had a very loose leash last year. I respect McHale now more for holding even Harden accountable for his play. However, he did get outcoached by Doc Rivers last night.

Exactly, I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt and think that he is still have health issues. His back was hurt, he sprained his ankle and it was the 4th game in 6 nights.

Harden had no heart in defense last night. He didn't chase his man down when they moved around like rats. Doc was used to moving Ray Allen around screens for open shots in Boston like what Reddick is doing now. If Harden does that lazy D again next game against Clippers, he should be benched earlier to serve a notice that his D effort is not acceptable, not on a contending team. Let Brewer try stop Reddick instead.

McHale is the perfect coach to address the Harden matter. McHale has seen it all, done it all and heard it all. And he is a HOF player with a career under his belt that Howard and Harden can currently only hope to match. As a fan there isn't a coach I would rather have overseeing the Hardens and Howards of the NBA. Phil excluded of course.

Plus McHale does not strike me as a shy and introverted person. I feel sure that Harden and the whole team got an ear load after the game.

Ya, Lin tried to attack and got knocked on the floor without any foul calls. The refs don't like him I guess. Whereas Howard and our players got calls for the slightest touch on their players. That is why Howard got 3 in no time and even Lin got 5 which caused him to play CP3 loser and guess what, CP3 scored most of his points after Lin got 5.

A good coach should make the adjustment or let the team have an ear load during the game when he sees the problem, not after the game. There was no D, no picks and screens for the pg and shooters, no pnr, poor post ups, poor shooting, and yet no adjustments made during the game. Call that good coaching? Doc outcoached McHale by the mile last night.

Are you sure? Or did the LAC just out shoot the Rockets from behind the arc and from the free throw line?

If you can figure out how to derive the -27

you would not be making that comment and probably have a higher paying job.

Pretty easy to understand...I mean if you watched the game and aren't just looking at the numbers.

For the most of the game the Rox were down from 8-15 points. The game got really out of hand at the end of the game, when Harden was sitting his lazy ass down. Asik was out, and Dwight for a bit. Lin stayed in, and this is what mostly attributed to his number. But at least he was hustling. Kept getting called for phantom calls like the one in the lane where he never actually touched CP3, Paul merely jerked his body.

    Yes and no.

Superstars get longer leash. That's pretty obvious and nothing wrong with it. If somebody else not named Howard played that poorly -- not just poorly but with little effort -- he would have been benched much earlier in the game.

Harden wasn't just having a cold shooting night. He's just plain unmotivated. It was excusable only if it's caused by injury or sickness.

Harden had no interest in playing defense.

He saw J.J. Redick, then got scared and backed off.
