    Definitely.

However, what about "Cumin Inside My Ear". It's a non released little diddy Ringo wrote in the early 1970's when while he was stoned, he dug deep and found a small piece of earwax that tasted like cumin.

I didn't think any Beatles song could ever be considered esoteric by anyone. Except 'You Know My Name (Look Up the Number)'.

What the hell, albums in order of excellence go as follows:

    Abbey Road
    Sgt. Pepper
    White Album
    Revolver
    Rubber Soul
    Magical Mystery Tour
    Hard Day's Night
    Let It Be
    Help!
    Please Please Me
    With the Beatles
    Beatles for Sale

    Yellow Submarine doesn't count.

Oldies radio's the worst. Well, not as bad as KRBE, but bad.

I wrote a little diddy called "Scratch n' Sniff." It is based on personal experiences. . .

Man alive! I can name the year, album (where applicable) and (in most cases) track number of every song in this thread! You need to bone up on your latter day Beatles!

I, on the other hand should have stopped before my brain turned to mush. But it's psychadelic-colored mush, so it's not so bad.

Michelle.........I played guitar and sang it for a girl not unconcidentally named Michelle in high school, who bore a ever-so striking resemblance to a young Phoebe Cates. I scored that night, so needless to say, that is definitely my favorite. I guess all those years of playing guitar finally paid off!!!!

Yeah...combination of reasons...I love the way John just rips his throat out, it's my salute to the early era which I largely ignore, and I loved when they sang it for the Queen, and at Shea. I think it would have been one of their better live songs, but you'd have to ask my *grumble* parents, who saw them 3 times between them...*grumble*...if that's true.

Gotta go with Hey Jude. Any song that can be a touchstone to Earth in a Stephen King series gets my vote. Plus. it's just an excellent song.

    I can't pick one so:

    A Day In The Life
    Dear Prudence
    Helter Skelter
    Blackbird
    Eleanor Rigby
    In My Life

Mrs. JB - Rocky Racoon? That's a fairly good song. Obadeobada (sp) - now that's an annoying song.

Can't really choose one that stands out, but here are a few:

    When I'm 64
    Help!
    Yellow Submarine
    Michelle
    Ob-la-di
    Hard Days Night
    Let it Be
    Hey Jude

Tough question, but if I had to choose one, it would be "If I Needed Someone" simply for George's electric 12 string Rickenbacker.

If you want one song that captures the essence of the Beatles message:
    All You Need is love

    Most beautiful:
Something (In The Way She Moves)

Song I hum in my head when things ain't going right:
    It's Getting Better

Best Beatles songs you don't know the words to:
I've Got A Feeling , She Said She Said

    Best Lyrics:
    Paperback Writer

    Best Riff:
    Day Tripper

Best protest song by the fabulously wealthy:
    Taxman

That is a tough call, and I'm not even that much of a Beatles fan.

    Twist and Shout
    Helter Skelter
    Eleanor Rigby
    Yesterday
    Day Tripper
    Revolution

those are the ones that I'll listen to just about any time.
the other ones are subject to being switched off if Im not in the mood for Beatles.

Anyone said Because from Abbey Road? That's a good one too. It was used in the final credits sequence of American Beauty.
