    I'm watching C-SPAN right now. The reported vote was to amend a bill that mandated that all health insurance include mental health insurance with the bailout.

    Now they are voting on passage of the whole thing.

    Yeah, there are 2 votes. But by voting for the first one, you're essentially voting for the second one. Why would you vote to amend the health insurance bill if you weren't going to vote for the bill that was going to be added on?

    why do they insist on messing the bill up to the point to where it won't pass.

    They cannot just do something they have to take the opportunity to use it to their political advantage. 100% scumbags.
