And you just made my point for me. A. Not even funny B. Avoided a real answer C. We have to just believe your intentions are as bad as they seem
I'll admit that I just skimmed the article, but I think widespread cynicism is definitely what is happening and will continue to happen. There is no faith in the major institutions here (government, corporate media, major tech companies) among many. I think I'm already there, where I am skeptical of just about everything I read unless I have access to the actual data and have had the time to look into it myself. Even then, if it's concerning something that I'm not especially knowledgeable on, I'm not so certain that what I think is right is definitely right. I think the best scenario is actually one where everyone is so thoroughly disinterested in politics because we all acknowledge it's corrupt and a grift, so we just stop taking the bait that they feed us that makes us hate each other.
The hilarious part of the D&D is that it’s all assumptions based on peoples biases it’s like the Jussie Smollet situation where people just assumed he’s telling the truth without any evidence there are smart people and dumb people Smart people are creative people like Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos if you think it makes sense for society to accept crime you are dumb cause criminals don’t care that you care also they should ban everyone who hates billionaires here because we won’t have a team in Houston without one Someone has to pay millionaires Those are billionaires @Os Trigonum @basso
This assumes that everyone in America has and maintains a standard of living to allow everyone to be apathetic and for social media to no longer exist. Until then, we'll continually be pointed at the direction of who to hate and who took our jerbs.
I think the majority of people still stand behind our system win or lose. Some folks have fallen down the YouTube rabbit hole and I think it's getting worse with more social isolation and the advent of the internet/smart phones etc etc. Qanon believers being elected to Congress is concerning but I'm not sure how concerned I should be by it. I also believe in physical presence to vote with ID or mail in voting but only in exceptional cases and also with ID (some sort of notary system). I think it's important to safeguard the integrity of the voting system and asking you to prove you are who you say you are before we count your vote, while a burden, is a minimal burden and one that we should accept. As many other countries do.
If we could all just agree on this, there would be more trust and good feelings about validity from the get go
Let’s not forget these same ultra-dumb people want self defense to be illegal in addition to being pro-mob violence/ pro-smash and grab all in the name of paying for grandmas medicine…allegedly haha
Still thinking that these dumb loonies getting upset that cops have guns in their restaurant what do you think happens when your restaurant gets robbed ? Criminals using king fu ? No they got gats
That’s the problem. The dumb people can’t think, can’t decide to defund the police or fund the police. I suppose it depends on whether they decide to show up for work or sleep till noon and smoke weed all day. This is the land of confusion ..
Unless hostile aliens come to wipe us out, or a huge astroid decides to pay us a visit - humanity is far from doomed.
China is going to try it Maybe we wait to see if they see if they don’t get violated by Xenomorphs @Xerobull
