If Eric Gordon is not moved before/by the deadline, it’ll be an organizational failure.

    33 years old.
Healthiest he’s been (minus the sitting out back-to-backs)
    Best basketball he’s played
Next injury/boo boo is right around the corner
This is the high point. It’s not getting better from here.
SELL SELL SELL (for the Rockets sake and for Eric’s sake, as he “deserves” that opportunity to go play on a contender)

“There is a good deal of internal admiration for how Gordon carries himself on and off the floor and the work ethic he shows on a daily basis, characteristics the staff is trying to impart on some of their younger players.”

That just reeks of Silas (similar with Silas and Oladipo) @Nook

Come on Rockets. Don't get greedy.

Gonna risk missing out on the best chance for the #1 pick by not trading away Gordon and/or Wood.

I have to think "posturing" is exactly what Stone is doing. You leak you have offers, but none of them have blown you away to increase the bids. I have to believe Stone will deal EG, but it may go down to the wire. We'll see who flinches first.

If they're not offering a fair trade then I'm fine keeping them. Banchero will carry us. They're good pieces but our current tanking has devalued them.

Got to sell high on Gordon right now. I understand they want a strong vet presence with some of the knuckleheads and young guys we have now but you should be able to get an expiring vet and a FRP.

There’s no way Gordon won’t be traded. It might go down to the deadline but EG is exactly the type of player that can push a contending team over the top. And there are a lot of teams that feel like they have a shot this year.

Id be shocked if Wood and Gordon aren’t BOTH traded.

clearly posturing and that’s fine with me. Make sure you get appropriate value, Stone.

You guys are saying hes healthy and playing great ... but it’s not like other teams can’t look at his injury history .

it depends on the first .

if it’s a decent pick and soon then I could trade him for only 1 .

but it’s not like we are really gonna utilize the cap space if we trade him for expirings ... and if we have to take back longer contracts then that’s another factor .

he’s not blocking green as much as green is blocking green .

guys have still gotten minutes .

Gordon will def get traded, teams get super desperate before the deadline.

Just keep Gordon healthy at all costs.

It's definitely posturing, but... the longer we play this game, the greater the chances of EG getting hurt. Same as Wood.

    C'mon, let's get Stoned.

Silas is a big fan of Gordon and has been since day 1.

Silas also WAS a big fan of Wall....... and Oladipo.

Silas really likes anyone that he doesn't have to coach and doesn't mock him directly to his face.

I think EGo’s value is on a win now team this year and next. I’d pull a trade that included any first round pick and expiring contracts. Only a win now team will be desperate enough to make a trade and their firsts are all later picks. I’m not sure how we move up in the draft with this situation unless there’s a team in possession of someone else’s pick.

We could definitely get too greedy here. That is an easy possibility to imagine.

It foolishness. The Rockets would be dumb to keep Gordon over a future first rounder. They have off and on tried to deal him for a couple years. If push comes to shove, take the first and give more minutes to the young players. Same with Wood...... neither is a long term solution and honestly, neither of them really want to play for the Rockets.

What's wild about that is that Gordon has no poker face (see twitter memes) -- I'm shocked he hasn't at the very least given him some serious side eye.

    Here's a hypothetical:

Would you attach Tate to Gordon if it meant that Houston can receive TWO 1st rounders? Like maybe sending Gordon and Tate to Minnesota for Malik Beasley, Jaden McDaniels, 2023 1st and 2025 1st?

Gordon has made it clear to numerous people that he doesn't want to be a Houston Rocket. He also has a history of complaining.... he has complained everywhere he has gone. He complained in LA, he complained when MDA was coach and now has complained with Silas. He is known as two faced as well.... just trade him and move on.

I'd do that trade ALL DAY! I love Tate but he's a backup and Gordon is playing out of his mind. Give me the #1's and Jaden McDaniels all day
