Bruno has great value as a 16-20 minute back up big.
199 oRtg, and 110 drtg seems incorrect. It means that when Bruno is on the court, Rockets were going up by 79 pts per 100 possessions. In 25 minutes that makes about 40 points. Yet he finished the game with a +/- equal to -1.

The numbers in basketaball reference does not match nba.com. Anybody have an idea what is going on? Am i missing something?

His idol is KPJ, not Bruno. He wants Bruno for KPJ shining. Otherwise everybody knows that Hawks&Celtics reject, Theis-swap Bruno will be a back-up in a best scenario. The question is whether the first back-up or 3rd behind of Garuba. I personally like all three bigs (let's say 4 including Boban) but normal pecking order is Alpi/Garuba/Bruno/Boban.

Bruno is a good distraction, the ultimate goal is to make the team as KPJ's. Futile, won't work. I was keen on to keep KPJ for 18-22M/year before extension but started to worry about Rox' future because of Silas/Lucas/KPJ antics.

At the end of the season Silas will go, KPJ's limbo, Alpi will start. Another 70 games torture, finish.

Apache Warrior posted at KPJ extension thread (around page 80) about some very special players (may be a grand total of 6) who had scored/rebounded/3pt made in certain figures before 22 years old. Alpi is a candidate (might be 3pt miss), Jabari is candidate but not KPJ, not JGreen (rebounding).

Bruno is red herring, the game is between Silas&KPJ vs Alpi&Stone. Stone seems not acting but how long?

Silas will get no contract offer in NBA (as head coach) but at least half of NBA teams would love Alpi's service. I watch NBA games via rivals' stream and nearly all of them value Alpi quite high. Never heard any appreciation about Silas (may be I missed, may be my selective perception).

Famous Turkish proverb: "Wolf survives the winter but never forget the dry cold". Alpi will remember also. Winter is coming.

That excuse is out of the window this season.

He does make them more entertaining right now ..... but what gets them closer to a Larry O'brien Trophy?

I guess it depends upon your perspective .... are we content simply being entertained or do we want Championships and what are we willing to endure to get them?

Silas is brilliant .... All these players progressing and growing like they have the past two seasons, yet they are in prime tank position despite that growth ... again.

I like Tate, I just don't like him over developing Eason and KJM.

If it were up to me, I'd either trade EG or cut him so if I can't find a trade - I have more minutes to distribute elsewhere and my starting lineup would be KPJ-Green-Tari-Bari-Sengun with Tate, Garuba and JC my bench brigade.

I think Bruno is worth a look, he's been a monster on the glass and a physical presence inside. There's no reason those two guys can't coexist.

The problem isn't Jabari-Bruno-Sengun-Garuba are too much, the problem is you have EG, Tate, and Matthews in there who should be traded and would free up minutes for everyone else.

Then play him until fouling out.

No crap excuses for not playing Sengun.

If Silas ain’t trying to tank and thinks these lineup decisions give them the best chance to win…he should be fired.

He's getting minutes, I am just saying, why not give Bruno a look? Dude is a beast. Sengun is avg 27 min. I don't think the difference between 25 and 30 is all that much.

They're technically not the same stats. BRef also uses an estimated calculation based upon things like estimation of scoring possessions. NBA.com uses actual scoring possessions because they have that data - no need to estimate. BRef's calculation/methodology (based up on Dean Oliver's ancient methodology) is on the site somewhere.

    Must be a typo.
109 oRtg, and 110 dRtg should be right.
9 is right next to 0, you see. :)

They are progressing and growing to what exactly? Jabari looks awful he barely plays Tari and Christopher. He's hiding Sengun on the bench. Still only playing him when he is forced to. KPJ has pretty much been the same player as last year and Jalen looks worst than the end of last year. What improvement are you talking about? We are on the same pace as last year. We will get another player and he wont know what to do with them either.

and we are actually losing picks not getting them because we depreciate the vets and other players by making them play like crap...
yes we get one top pick each year but lose several FRPs in value...not a great bargain... thats why bad team stay bad for years and decades
theres no substitute for hard work...you cant lose your way into winning.. that just doesnt happen in the world

oh it is that much! IT IS...it makes all the difference in the world especially since he lost a lot of minutes during his rookie season...

sengun only played 2 dozens or so FULL NBA GAMES IE 30+minutes games in his career
SO THIS IS BASICALLY HIS REAL ROOKIE SEASON

see if you play 6 or 12 minutes(4x3min LOL) half of the nights then youre not playing games at all... and all these trash minutes enter into your playing average so it looks like you getting PT and experience when in fact you dont...

they dont mean much because youre out of rhythm during them or playing with different unsuitable casts of teammates

if minutes come from jalen green for bruno i could agree.. cause hes played too much minutes...need to hit the gym and the film room and play less...KPJ as well..they both also need to be punished for not playing the right way...so its surefire way to send them the message and teach them a lesson...and solve bruno minutes problem

    THERE YOU GO!

20 years old Sengun stats per 36 min:

    22.8 points, 12.9 rebounds, 2.8 asists, 0.9 steals, 1.5 blocks

And Silas thinks, Bruno should start over Sengun What an idiot... Clearly worst coach of NBA history.

    FALSE!
senguns fouling rate never went over 6 fouls per 36 minutes in his nba career so basically you could have played him 30+ minutes every night...
