The Athletic: Bruno Fernando Will Start Over Sengun When He Returns

This makes no sense, Sengün is arguably the best player on the team why bench him? If anything find a way to get one of Eason or KJ in the starting 5 if not both

 

Sengun is the best player of Rockets now. He has potential to be promising star player. It looks so stupid for Silas to bench Sengun for a role player that no team wanted.

As to Garuba, the dude can get 3pts, 6 rebounds, 5 assists in ****ing 4 mins! Can you see the ****ing great potential? Sila-ass!

What a disgusting coach we have... Stop frustrating our talented young players! You dumb fool!

I would take some of these last couple of games as decent evidence that kpj and green are learning to play with sengun.

I don’t understand the aversion to it. I want Tate to come back and play the 3 too , even tho Gordon’s shooting has really helped us be more competitive .

If we do move him to the bench I will think we are blatantly trying to lose and are holding him back . Is it a minutes / health concern . It better be . But I’ve seen no evidence .

If we really wanna bring someone off the bench for their development it should be Smith JR .

Obviously you don’t always have to have each 5 segregated (duh Silas .. stop playing green and kpj together only , I think he did )

We really think that smith beat out Eason , garuba , sengun , kmj , and Tate (if Gordon starts at the 3) . Hell no . Just like green didn’t beat out Eric Gordon or josh Christopher or garrison matthews even .

I've said since draft day that he (Eason) could end up being the best player on this team .... he just impacts the game on both ends in ways others can't.

I'd like to see a lineup of KPJ-Green-Eason-KMJ-Sengun .....

 

That lineup has the best offensive and defensive ratings of any lineup that’s widely used

Why would Fernando even get minutes? I mean just to tank.

1. Sengun is an ok defender. He's not Gobert but he's not a windsock either. Fernando isn't some defensive stalwart, although Garuba sure as hell looks the part.
2. Sengun is a beast offensively. He keeps it moving, he makes plays for others and he is dicing fools up on that chop block.
3. If Porter and Green feel like they just need someone to catch lobs and Sengun doesn't fit their games, that's 100% a Porter and Green problem and 0% a Sengun problem. I'll see them to the bench before I send the one guy looking like he's consistently playing successful NBA basketball.
4. This offense is anything but the PnR spam offense Harden ran and had Capela fitting in smoothly.
5. You ask guys to grow and develop but reward a guy who is getting outplayed? That's how you end growth, trust, progress, everything.
6. Bench needs scoring? Why Gary Mathews isn't up to it?

 

Why are you going by lineups? As Sengun, Tari and Kenyon were coming off
the bench and facing 2nd unit scrubs?

I don't judge Sengun vs mostly 2nd stringers [David Roddy, Tyus Jones, Jake LaRavia].....
you shouldn'tj udge Bruno vs what I consider the #2 team in the West and
