The funny thing KPJ would benefit from Sengun in S5 and prototypical point guard. He could play SF where now we have EG. Thats 100% on coaching. You gonna say they are pros and know better… i will show you they run the worst team in Houston Rockets entire history. They know ****. And dont forget the Lucas because he somehow avoids the heat and for me he is the constant to running overdribble ISO basketball.

I'm routing for Sengun and I think he's played very well but LOL.

He has like none of the tools to be a great defender.

He doesn't have great lateral quickness or a wide lower body or super long limbs or great leaping ability or anticipation or switchability or an all out hustle mentality.

He tries. But, one of the things fans get wrong all the time is that merely trying is all it takes to be a great defender. You need some advantages and defensive talent.

He's never gonna be an all nba defender. That's not who he is.

Sengun's rise to greatness will be through dominating in the post and not being a negative defender. And I mean consistently dominant. Only the true elite post players are worth playing given it's generally not as efficient from a PPS perspective as just good drive and kick offense that everyone else runs. That's a lot to ask because it's rare in this era. So, he's a high ceiling, low floor guy.

I think that's the reason the org wants him to develop his outside shot. Shooting will increase his ability to play with other defensive minded centers and reduce his defensive responsibilities. In an ideal world he can play with a guy like Garuba. If not, the long term cap of a Sengun lead team is average post defense (although overall defense can be improved in other ways).

Well you are using per. That's pretty extremist with modern analytics. Are we back in the 2000s or something?

We don't need a stronger bench, we need a starting unit that can actually run offense. Kpj has yet to show that he can run an offense. If u are gonna point out the last few games where his assist numbers were high.....
There seems to b a correlation and coincidence that sengun is being used as the offense hub.

Am I the only one that finds it crazy that two of the biggest Dmo nut suckers in @DaDakota and @Bobbythegreat don't think Sengun has much upside?
Especially since Sengun is already better than Dmo ever was.

Slow feet don't get quicker with age, they get slower.

I usually respect your opinions, but thinking Bruno should start over Sengun or even Garuba is ridiculous given that we are in rebuild. Bruno will be a lifetime journeyman where the other two have great upside potential.

Now you are attempting to go the whataboutism route in order to deflect from valid criticism. It doesn't matter if KPJ is the worst player in the history of the sport, we're talking about Sengun.

Lol, I don't get why player first and player only fans get up in their feelings when it comes to valid criticism about their heroes. This is nothing but a ridiculous emotional response from you.

This isn’t true, not even remotely true.
Majority of teenagers and young players get faster all the way through college.
Alp isn’t in his final form as an athlete, that’s not to say he’s going to be a gazelle. But he’s already passable as an athlete, he will be able to hold his own if he continues his physical maturation.

You honestly should listen to your own advice, in regards to KPJ.

actually your response was emotional in the first place...no logic respecting response so i just fed you back the same thing...thinking so static and not up to date not in accordance with what really happens in nba...deep inside the box...and not even a ray of wish to look out of it...gotta be emotion

and it was also a perfect fit for a man that thinks a headcase fancy dribbler emptystat padder and chucker has a greater ceiling than one of the best nba players with nuanced, beautiful and rarely seen creation and getting to the line in his rookie season already more than 2 times MVP can dream of...

Both are really odd players imo. Really doesn't fit any existing molds and have really weird strength and weaknesses

its true in the dumbalytics twitter cult

then they get surprised every year when one of their rules of the thumb is being totally ignored by nba reality and people they thought of as invalids in basketball sense win the title

yanis won nba title and he couldnt even shoot....and talented players not being 3 point shooters are being discarded every day...

cp3 has beaten GOAT lebron in playoffs playing injured on one hand not even shoting at all...

can there be a greater difference in athleticims and shooting except between these 2?

athleticism is A BIG BIG FRAUD
