seems like there is a split in terms of using the fancy ingredients or using the basics. if you are going to deviate from the basics, then prob just go all out and jazz it up and see how tasty you can make it. Otherwise, i think you stick with the bread, butter , slice cheese. a middle ground is not acceptable in this case....
No cheeses or breads named so far have been "fancy". Cheese pizzas aren't fancy fare. Why do they taste that much better, than Kraft Singles on toast? It's the cheese and bread used.
yes but cheese pizzas weren't originally introduced to this country on white bread, butter, and covered in kraft singles... just as grilled cheese wasn't originally US inception.. wasn't based around pizza dough... tomato sauce and mozzarella... in other words... that's a pretty dumb argument...
also.. the pizza was brought here due to overseas popularity with US soldiers... grilled cheese, as we know it... originated here..
very touchy subject, should this go in the debate & discussion? I m kinda torn, but I still make it pretty simple. Although, some other recipes here sound enticing.
Complaining about how other people make a damn sandwich to start with is even dumber. You shouldn't let grilled cheese sandwiches bother you so much.
to rashly interpret disagreement with complaining... over said topic... is even more so... youtube clips, and easy corrections... hardly make up for much bother... and you call yourself a professor... where's that steady attention to detail...?

Lately I've been sprinkling my grilled cheese sandwiches with this seasoning on each side before grilling them. I really like it.
...And more complaining. Get that frustration out in the kitchen. Calm down and eat a grilled cheese sandwich. BTW, a few thin slices of tomato inside makes it even better for me. Hope that doesn't offend you.
the one at house of pies is disgustingly delicious. it has three different cheeses and lots of tomatoes. and it's always cooked perfectly.
correction... more effortless correcting... as demonstrated here once more... you might as well pretend it does... you've been doing a splendid job of it already... here, I'll help you along... to illustrate the would-be extent of my outrage better to you... I'll take the bother to post a common image... that you should find most apropos...
keep fighting the good fight, Donny... oh wait, poor choice of words... professorjay will easily miscontrue that linearly miscontrue that to mean one is upset... continue to disagree... no that won't help here either, we've tried it once before... he does have trouble interpreting things accurately... I know... continue to uphold the proper way to make a grilled cheese sandwich... if he has trouble with that... nothing more I can do...
