Well, according to the above Chinese article reporting on Luis Scola taking the commerical in March in Houston, he specifically asked the rim to be lowered such that he won't get injured in the midst of the regular season.

And he joked afterwards that for this commercial, he dunked so many times that he never had dunked before in his life.....and that he had only dunked 3 times so far in the Rockets season.

Rafer has had his deal with And1 since the beginning I think. That brand rode his coattails so they have to give him some cash. I dont know about Luther though.
