If you want to extrapolate this further... 1 bottle is 12 ounces. Smirnoff Ice has 5% alcohol. Which you had 3/5ths of a shot of alcohol, probably ingested over a long period of time. (I'm guessing you nursed the hell out of the sugary crap.) Probably not a sufficient amount to induce a biological reaction, probably mental. Just my take.
Some doctors say that a small amount of alcohol every evening with dinner is good for you. I come from a family that drinks wine with almost every dinner (havent quite found the wine to compliment kosher dogs.) The key is moderation.
I guess it is hard to comprehend hidden subtext from typed words on a message board. We were expected to infer your personal standard of what constitutes a drug from ? What constitutes a "harmful" drug? Are you implying that carbohydrates are not "harmful"? What about people that have eating disorders, suffer from obesity, diabetes, and other health risks? Can't people become "addicted" to carbohydrates?
You probably got sick because of the incredible amount of sugar they put in that stuff. I can hold a lot of alcohol, but just thinking about a Smirnoff Ice gives me chills.
The appeal is the escape from reality, similar to going to movies...Its our society that tells us that drinking is a way for us to "wind down" after a long day of work... I tend to agree, but that's just me...Now, to get sick off of it is crazy, but I'd be lying by saying that has never happened to me when I was younger...It's all about moderation and if you can find someone that likes that , cool...
Yeah, you like to use that one alot don't you? http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=112046&page=2
Yeah I wouldn't feel too bad finalsbound. I drink regularly (college) and two of those things make me sick because they are so damn sweet. It also makes it worse if you eat right before you start drinking them.
I guess I'm late chiming in on this thread but I'm 24 and I've never tasted alcohol. It never appealed to me. Also I feel like there arent too many things that you can control in life but you can pretty much control yourself to a point. But I hate anything that can alter your state of mind, even medicine which I dont take unless I'm forced to.
That is why I have a 4.0 GPA in my senior year, I study a lot, especially at the end of the semester when I have a lot of projects do and finals coming up, and I believe I posted that last week. Kapeish, brah!
