Sure Ronny, I understand that... but these guys would claim to be a 0 on the Kinsey Scale, which is complete BS. To say you are 100% straight, that means you don't even look at another guy and admire his qualities, that means you probably wouldn't even touch your own wang or look at yourself in the mirror.
Can't you say the same thing about admiring a dog or a horse? We can recognize a beautiful animal when we see one, but does that mean we're to any extent sexually attracted to it?
Hell yah dude, I've always had a thing for Mrs. Sarah Jessica Parker!!! I'd do her in a second.. It's either her or a fat chick!!!
I guess it's in the semantics regarding "100% straight". You can look at other men, admire their features or their bravado, and still be a 100% straight because you don't want to make them orgasm. Like we admire the symmetry and muscular definition of a thoroughbred horse. But we don't envision bestiality as a result of that. The keyword is sexual.
Right, a poor example on my part. I just don't think most men are comfortable discussing things of that nature. I suppose it will remain that way.
I wasn't trying to hit a nerve. I just thought some of the comments that seemed to be veering slightly off topic sported a certain irony. Wasn't trying to disagree with your whole theory thing. Perhaps a smiley would have helped.
Steven Tyler appeared on Two and a Half Men, he said a good line Alan: Um, I just want to say, I'm a huge fan. I lost my virginity to you. Steven Tyler: Really? Well ya know, there's a lot of the seventies I don't remember..." I think it COULD happen. 70's is proof. There's probably a lot of crap our fathers and uncles did that they don't care to admit... With more info and more learning, people find more ways to be convincing. "Heteroflexible" is genius. As was "Androgyny" and "Metrosexual" and "Emo". People and most men saw that as just "gay", probably rightfully. I call the 80's the Gayties cuz, just look at everything from it... But they'll stop at nothing to influence the masses to test the gay waters and make it inviting. Myself, I think you can attach libido to ANYTHING. There's absolutely NO LIMITS to perversion if you let it. You can condition yourself to love and hump ANYTHING. Then anywhere, and when anywhere isnt enough, anytime. No limits and extremism doesnt care for boundaries. To me its like, why all that? Trying everything once is cool. But there's nothing wrong with saying I like 1 type and dont want to explore either. I thought being humble was being content. But then a man being content means he'll impose the imperialistic oppressive power of the penis on the world. Goodness...
Moes said it all along... If you put me in a room with Megan Fox and she started to hit on me, I would not turn her down. (I've never been with a chick.)
I don't think the ability to recognize physical beauty in one's own sex is necessarily an indicator of bisexuality or homosexuality. If we are conditioned, through evolution, to mate with the opposite sex, that means we should be able to recognize what attracts them. Not only so that we can put ourselves in the best possible light, but also to better understand the competition.
i agree that most people are at least a little bi-curious. i wish i was bisexual, it would give me so many more options, but although i can look at an attractive chick (and even get turned on), i'm just not interested enough to want to be intimate with her alone. strange though how i'm attracted to femininity in both women and men...and i know a lot of women who feel the same way. maybe it's some sort of anti-evolutionary trait. still think that guy is ridiculously hot. 3some with him and JGL, yes please!
It's laughable that some guys will say they "can't tell" if another guy is attractive or not. But I'm willing to bet those same guys have labeled guys as ugly, or wondered "why is she with HIM?" all throughout their life. Of course, my point being that in order to think someone is ugly, you have to know that they're not attractive. By that logic, you have to actually know what attractive is. As for me, I look at it this way... If I look at a guy and I can say to myself "If I woke up tomorrow and suddenly looked like that guy, I wouldn't complain", then I would consider him attractive. Doesn't mean I want to do anything sexual with him at all.
