I will keep that in mind, it's always fun to defend your argument but not when it takes time away from more important things specifically family and work/study.

I never claimed to be an expert, but yes, I coach at a well-known Phoenix high school and I work closely with Mark Nelson, currently of GCU and formerly of the US junior ntl'l team. So, in some ways, I consider myself knowledgeable of the game. Everyone is always a student of the game, though.:)

Anyway, I do think your approach to evaluating DM's management is flawed in numerous ways which started when you first created this thread. You just blamed him for players' effort on the court. Since you and I both played ball in the past, I'm surprised you equate effort with someone behind the scenes. Did you not give your all some nights because of your high school principal? How is he responsible for James Harden's effort? At least give some blame/responsibility to James or McHale. Sheesh.

I am not his biggest fan, and I have been critical of the way he's managed relationships with certain players. Hell, I may be the most critical of McHale being the coach of this team. However, when you take into account the moves that have been made in preparation for this year and the future, he has planted the seeds for this franchise to be successful for at least the next 6 years. The behind-the-scenes moves, trading core players and creating a cohesive team vision is something that he was criticized for before things came to fruition. Even if I disagree with some his decisions, he has created an entirely new culture for the franchise with All-Star players, instead of "really good" players. (Lowry, Artest, KMart, etc...)

Even with drafting talent, Morey has been great. His second-round draft picks like CP, along with guys like PatPat, TJ and others were highly thought-out and effective. With the exception of Royce, the way Morey has analyzed pre and post-production of a given player has changed the way other GMs operate now. In some ways, Morey has been somewhat revolutionary in his approach.

Again, I'm not his biggest fan, but you have to recognize the success that has been derived from DM's direct moves and what he has facilitated into the organization. You really believe that anyone can hire competent employees? Then, why are so many orgs in such disarray if it's so easy to find the right people for the job?

He is nowhere near perfect, but he, along with many on the staff, has done a heck of a job bringing the Rockets back into contention.

Seriously? Even Clutch ripped on this disgrace of a thread. I can practically feel the ignorance spewing from your keyboard as you type. It's rare that I post, but damn, this is pathetic. Had to say something. Smdh. Sam Presti gave us James Harden for next to nothing. Fk Presti. Morey has done an excellent job of building a contender, and he's done so WITHOUT tanking, unlike so many others before him. Pretty impressive, yet your veil of ignorance impedes you from realizing and appreciating what he's done. Do everyone a favor and lock up your computer. Damn. "Rational." Who are you kidding

Fiasco of a season? W. T. F. Are you talking about? We're 16-9, and our team hasn't been together very long. I'm done with this horrible thread. Definitely one of the more useless, and blatantly inaccurate, threads that I've seen in a while. Might I suggest you wear a helmet, maybe then you'll be less likely to hit your head and spew unadulterated nonsense again.

why is this thread even still up? Clearly the OP hasn't been following the Rockets until this year. Knows nothing about the situation. Very offensive for a true fan.

Honestly one of the things I liked about CF is the honest discussion, whether I am arguing with LOFS, DD or Kobe fanboys everyone seems sincere and genuinely believe what they say.

Thats why I cant stand morons like OP who just troll and get everyone riled up just for kicks. This numbnut probably has an alter account and for all we know mgut be arguing with himself to get rep pts from everyone else. I mean are you really such a big loser irl you dont have anything else to do in your time except troll?

Or do you honestly believe Morey should be fired the year the Rox acquired James Harden, parsons and Dwight Howard? Who the hell are you even gonna replace him with, the Cavs FO?

The irony of all of this is that if he had just let it go, nobody would have remembered a random ridiculous thread created 3 years ago. However, by bumping this, and calling attention to his original idiocy, davestrate looks like an even bigger buffoon than he did in 2010. Also, the fact that he keeps arguing about how this team is set up to fail clearly shows that his narcissistic pride carries more weight to him than his fanhood (not to mention the more he posts, the more it's obvious he has a tenuous grasp on the English language at best).

Judging by the dramatic improvement made by the Cavaliers, should we consider this option?

He's getting better. Just stick to gm and gtfo trying to implement an offense philosophy that doesn't work because it looks good on paper.

Yes, let's fire the guy who landed Dwight Howard and James Harden - right as he's maneuvering for the killing blow. Fantastic idea. I mean, it's not like this team is relevant again or anything because of what he's done. And clearly there's nothing left for him to accomplish.

r****ded thread gets one star from me.
