OP still doesn't get how Morey does it. People hate virtually every trade he does until it actually works. I'd say judge him when we finally win the WC finals.
He assembled a young athletic team with a core consisting of Howard, Harden, Parsons and Lin. This Rockets team was built with title intentions, its now up to the players and coaches to deliver...Morey and Les did their jobs... This thread is effectively moot.
Oh I get it, it's not "assembling a contending team in a year" as some like to say. It has taken him his whole tenure with the Rockets and we're still not there yet!
This happens with every trade Morey makes. Even Woj has been guilty of reporting part of the deal first, CF freaking out, and then later finding out..... Ohhh he got that too... Ok now I'm liking this. Remember the night before the TMac trade what was reported the Rockets were getting potentially? No mention at all of Kevin Martin and the pick swaps. We all were convinced we were just getting Jeffries Hill and maybe a pick. The other deal we were all "hoping for" was Butler and Haywood from the Wiz.
