I agree with trying spoon. I also think we should try Deke and Yao on court at the same time. Not for long, maybe 5-10 minutes a game. Especially when we are getting abused on reboundes, or allowing inside shots. Non of these are permenant solutions. We need a long 4.
I agree. He is short but is as good a defender overall as Howard and Taylor. He is so wide and strong and has long arms so that it often takes a person time to gather the ball and go over him. That gives Yao time to help out. At least he gives us rebounding and toughness. We need someone to protect Yao's back. Essentially anything is worth a try.
One more time, JVG. Play TMac 41 minutes. Play Yao 32-35 minutes. Deke backs him and I like the idea of using them for 5-10 minutes together in certain matchups. Cut JJ back to a reasonable level his back can handle day in and day out and make him more effective when he is in. 32 minutes. Play Sura and AB as much as they can handle. Rotate Mo Padge and Spoon at the 4, and bench Juwan. Put Gaines back on the IL. Have Boki recover from his ahem "injury" and give him some steady time during the game. Give Bowen some energy minutes as needed. Have Bowen teach Boki how to flap his arms. Let Boki make a few mistakes. Play all 12 players - after our starters none of our bench is that much better than the others that some should get all the minutes and the rest sit & rot. Throw fresh legs at our opponents. And Oh yeah, adopt TMac's uptempo offense where Boki should be a better fit. Then as soon as possible trade for or draft a much stronger 4.
Yeha everytime I see Spoon play he does well. I don't know what's wrong with him. I know Spoon would kick Bradley's ass if he were in the game. BTW..maybe we should have kept Piatkowski...we should have given a 2nd rounder or something instead.
I think he means once both teams put in thier scrubs for the last 8 minutes or so. It is pretty interesting the Spoon can't get any minutes even in garbage time, especially since he is supposed to be a JVG guy.
