Bingo! Simmons was actually awesome in his rookie year and looked on his way to superstardom. It's just his weak mentals that got the best of him.
That's a little better than in his scouting report videos, where he did objectively bad things like shooting long range shots on the way down from his jump. Martin had the weird low release like Amen. But Amen is also doing strange stuff with his guide hand and doesn't seem to use a set point to keep his shot straight.
Shook, we all know once he hits the NBA it’s gonna be his jumper looks like it needs to be taken to the curb for pickup on trash day
I'm fully on board with this. Isn't that what the Kings did with Keegan Murray? Obviously Keegan is a better scorer than Gradey and better shooter but they drafted pretty much a need based on their vision of how they wanted to play. Can we just start drafting basketball players and not just athletes? This isn't slamball.
Yeah. Green is athletic enough but doesn't have bbiq so what's the point of his athleticism if his FG% is .416? We have enough athletes. Green, KJ, Tari even Jaygup. The overall bbiq of this team is just too low. This team is borderline r****ded. Can't slow the pace down when needed, constant isos, turnovers, our PG isn't a PG problems after problems. That's why even though i'm not a big fan of Miller i'd take him.
Since when does having a jump shot = basketball IQ? It's just a repetitive muscle memory skill that you practice. That's why it's one of the easiest things to teach a player coming into the league. Decisionmaking, playmaking, court vision, those things are basketball IQ skills, and Amen is great in those categories.
Thompson twins don't have a broken shot. You can't break what you don't have. They're in the nascent stages of learning how to shoot which is mind boggling considering their age. Once they learn how to shoot then we can debate whether their shot is broken or not.
One gets to shoot with a hitch if their shot hits like in Kev Mart. In Amen's case, his shot needs to be rebuilt form zero. His form and results are both absolute garbage. Ausar's form is at least not completely broken.
Best part of that video is Amen basically saying "fine, we'll do it again... I'll get you your swish..." despite them saying, don't worry about it. lol.
Ya something about his follow through looks like he's flailing. His guide hand is all over the place.
Amen a 6’7 Henderson who can guard multiple positions and has a high defensive ceiling unlike Henderson
