pretty good episode. i cant stand that annoying guy in the yellow. but i hope he doesnt get out early because he has the most potential to do something stupid for good tv (like colin getting arrested in africa and yelling at gf)
I wish each week was 2 hours like last weeks episode. I bet Hellboy and his X girl friend flake out. The race brings out the worst in people and if you relationship isn't strong (and I'm assuming theirs isn't) then they won't make it.
nevertheless the two best quotes came from the Utah sisters the blonde rebel one said "Tents, i don't do tents" then the still mormon one says as get changed in the appropriate clothing to climb the ice wall "how does my arse look in the these?"
Anybody still watching this. I just started following the show this season, and I'm hooked. Spoilers for the most recent episode. Johnathon is such an *******. The juxtapostion of the two couples Johnathon and Victoria vs. Freddy and Kendra in that last footrace to the pit stop couldn't have been more dramatic. Johnathon drops his backpack because he couldn't handle carrying that weight. So what Victoria does is pick it up because she's afraid someone will take it. So she's carrying two backpacks and he's 50ft in front. On the flip side, Freddy grabs Kendra's bag so he's the one carrying two packs, so that she can keep up. Two teams running to the pit stop, and one team with the man carrying two bags versus the other team with the woman carrying two bags. Gee, I wonder who's going to win that one. What a great sequence though. That's what I like about this show. Stuff happens in real life that you wouldn't try to make up. Like a couple of episodes ago, when the sisters were eliminated, it was probably the most jaw-dropping unfolding of events that I've ever seen on TV. Anyway at this point, it seems to me that it's coming down to a three horse race between Kris and John, Hayden and Aaron, and Johnathon and Victoria. They've consistently been the best competitors. And even though Freddy and Kendra won this leg, they're a pair of nitwits, so I don't see it happening again.
That was classic with Jonathan blowing up at his girlfriend. He's venting to Phil, and Phil tells him that he should go talk to her. So Jonathan goes over and starts b****ing at her again. The dysfunctional couples are the best to watch.
am I the only one thats dying to see her slap the **** out of him? what a classless, annoying guy... I hated to see the Utah girls go since they were the most pleasing to the eyes... and I was sad to see the inevitable happen....Don and Mary Jean are gone. They were gutsy and likable.....but they just dont have the physical strength to keep up with the yunguns. I predict that Bolo and his psycho kitty will be goine next....they seem to screwup so often...I think the only thing keeping them in this is that other teams have screwed up more. This is the first season I have watched since day 1....gotta give Smeghetti credit for turning me on to this show....best show on tv along with Fear Factor (not including my guilty pleasure...animation)
Since this is your first season, you may not know, but in the past it hasn't always been the team consistently winning that wins in the end. Last season was a good example. There was one team somewhat similiar to Johnathon and Victoria (somewhat being a very very very small somewhat, Johnathon is on another level, but still this guy got a little angry unexpectedly at times), anyway, they won the legs the majority of the time. Then there was a team very similiar to the African American father daughter (and I'm not just saying similiar cause both teams are African American, but in approach to the game), and they were consistently just hanging in there - 6ths, 7ths, 5ths, a high finish once or twice...and they won. Most likely 1 or 2 of the teams you mentioned will make it to the end, but I wouldn't be surprised to see any team remaining win it all to be honest.
I guess I miss the Utah girls most so far - for the obvious reasons. Don and his wife weren't just old though - they tended to make a lot of mistakes that weren't related to their physical fitness. I wouldn't be surprised to see Jonathan and his partner just quit the race at some point.
