PER is not the greatest stat but a decent approximation for production.

As a 21 year old rookie Diaw had a 8.8 PER. Over his career he had a 12.9 average PER.

As a 19 year old rookie Sengun has a 18.2 PER. It is higher than both of the top rookies Evan Mobley and Scottie Barnes.

The reason why PER isn’t a great stat is because it does not account for defense well. The good thing about Sengun is that he does a lot defensively that does not show up in the stat sheet (league leading deflection rate, charges).

The point is Sengun as a 19 year old rookie is already better than Diaw ever was. Don’t insult him.

Why are you so literal. Diaw was one of the main offense orchestrators on that championship Spurs team, he ran circles around Durant's OKC and Lebron's Heat team.

Sengun can definitely be that type of player for us with more scoring.

Another way to say it is that he's the only player on the team with the "Mamba mentality"

    I disagree.

There are a LOT of fighters on this team that take losing personally.

CF may not love all of them, but team has a bunch of mad dogs.

    Tate
    Mathews
    Sengun
    Christopher
    Garuba
    Green
    Nwaba

    And surprise surprise ... Wood.

CF's favorite whipping boy is very passionate and plays with a huge chip on his shoulder.

If Silas willing to play Tate with Theis, no reason not to play him with Sengun either.

Exactly, it's obvious to me, Sengun will be hanging from the rafters! I'm not kidding either.

Diaw is a role player. Sengun will be the start Rox player for years!

And such an underrated defender to boot.

So disruptive, always trying to generate turnovers - deflections, steals, blocks, charges.

Active hands to go with active mind.

The Rockets need him too much right now.

But agreed, Sengun would destroy the G League.

Not sure why Augustin not seeing more minutes with only true PG on team out.

    Head scratcher NGL.
