He'd turn it over out of bounds before he even got to fake number 2.

His nail polish would look good doing it though that's the main thing!

How much longer can it possibly go without Sengun in the starting lineup and playing 30-plus a game? The team is significantly better with him on the floor than off. — D.S.

I would like to direct your eyes to the following tweet. Watch it four, five, six times.

This guy was born in 2002. You just saw him attract three Celtics defenders in the paint, have the tiniest of windows between four arms and throw a behind-the-back pass to a wide-open shooter on the wing. Again, he was born in 2002.

When you have a young, mercurial talent like that, you simply have to find ways to get him on the floor. Rockets Twitter was in an uproar — and rightfully so — when Sengun played just five minutes in a loss. That should never happen under any circumstances, not for a guy taken in the first round who the team is so high on and should be an offensive hub one day.

Sengun has already asserted himself and made the most of his minutes and touches when he’s on the floor. His 22.4 usage rate is in the 87th percentile among bigs, and he’s assisting on 17.7 percent of his teammates’ shots when he’s on the floor — good for the 88th percentile, per Cleaning the Glass. He’s in pretty good company, too.

You see a trend there? Time spent on the floor. Luckily for Sengun and the hive, that seems to be trending upwards. Over the last two contests, the rotational gap between him and Theis has shrunk. Theis has played 23 and 22 minutes over his last two games; Sengun has played 24 and 21 minutes, including an impressive eight-point, seven-assist, six-rebound, two-steal effort Monday night. The Rockets are plus-11.2 points per 100 possessions better with him on the floor. That is in the 91st percentile. Play. Him.

Wrong. His minutes are not trending up. He only played 21 minutes last game because it was a blowout and 4th quarter was garbage time, otherwise he was about to get 15 minutes that game again. A game that he would have had a triple double if he got more time. It's inexcusable and it isn't getting better, if you look at per month, his minutes are actually declining.

For sure. Maybe Silas will wake up tonight after the coaching change rumor and play Sengun more minutes.

I said at the beginning of the season that Sengun should be a starter by Thanksgiving and, if not, Silas is a complete buffoon. Can't believe the head coach is going to prove me right.

A "real basketball coach" who will come after Silas will build the team around him and we will witness together how the performance of other players has increased. I have no doubt about it. The future lies here. Not in Theis or Wood or anyone else.

Sengün's skills and game reading are incredible. They are well above the average of the NBA Centers.
This boy seems to be very special.

    Rockets are absolute morons.

Now is the best time to let one of the best rookies out there play as much as possible and get valuable developing time on the court.

Instead they are playing other scrubs.

This franchise is an abomination atm.

Just because we pulled out a win doesn't mean Silas is forgiven for playing Sengun only 16 minutes AGAIN.

I think Silas is now committed to one big and 4 position less guys. If Wood is having a good game, then Sengun will get his 16-20 mins. If Wood is having a bad game maybe, just maybe, Sengun gets 25.

I agree. Still, it's unnecessary for Wood to be on the court for 30 minutes. He should play for 26-27 minutes. Sengun showed that he deserved the remaining minutes. I expect Sengun to stay in the game for an average of 20 minutes each game until the deadline. Wood will probably'll go somewhere. I don't think Houston sees a future in him, especially considering that a Banchero/Chet will be picked from the next draft.

We have to get rid of Daniel Theis as soon as possible after Dec 15. This is the real problem right now.

If Wood is gone like you say. Theis will be the backup center. If Wood plays aggressively like he did last night. He will be the starter all year, unless someone blows us away with an offer.
