by no means am i demeaning what he did... he carried that team imo and was the reason they got so far and were so good... but in that 4game slide against okc he wasnt as doninate or good as he was the rest of the playoffs...

truth is just like boston spurs window has closed...

lakers too unless the get a solid haul for gasol or pull off dwight...

clips are my favorite for that 3rd team, followed by indiana and than knicks...

I really do not see how adding D-Will makes Dallas so much better or even a contender.

Funny thing is the only teams to have taken the thunder to 7 games, or beat the thunder, in the last three years are dallas (old), lakers (old) and the grizzlies.

    You do the math.

    Probably the Spurs.

If Dwight and Deron team up on a team that has some cap flexibility and a half decent GM then that team might be in the running as well.

Lakers, Clippers, Pacers, Bulls, Celtics, and Spurs. Between those six teams.

From a delusional fan aspect, Rockets, Jazz, Knicks, and Hawks.

My Eastern conference dark horse would be the Pacers
Western conference are the Timberwolves... Rubio, Love, Derrick Johnson and money to spend, let alone their HC. Defintely a team to look out for.

You're right, the Clippers will be the clear cut #3 next year.

The Spurs will add one underrated piece that most people will ignore, but will keep them at an elite level. They are better at Moreyball than Morey is.

    OKC will be 3rd team.

    #1 Rockets
    #2 Heat
    #3 Okc

Grizzlies. Don't know why they choked this year, but they are talented.

Still the Bulls. Would have been the Bulls perhaps this year if not for the ACL tear.

Lakers will be 1, heat 2 and OKC 3,

from there if boston can get garnett to come back they will start season as 4.

I still think the lakers will get howard so that is why I say lakers.

Even if lakers don't get howard I wouldn't be surprised if they get williams or even williams and howard.

    That's my wild guess.

Grizzlies had Shane Battier when they competed against the Thunder. They cannot even get out of the first round after downgrading to Rudy Gay.

I'd also have to say the Spurs' window is pretty much closed. This lockout-shortened season was Duncan's best chance at another ring.

The same probably goes for Garnett, Pierce and the Celtics, even if Ainge does a good job retooling this summer.

I just can't see the Lakers getting enough back for Gasol to make them truly elite again.

So I'm going with Dallas. My gut says they have the best chance at upgrading this summer and getting back into contention.

People keep saying that. They said that for this season, and people said it about last season as well.

Honestly, it was Duncan's team, who gladly handed the keys over to Ginobili for a season and a half, and now it's Parker's team.

As long as SA keeps their big 3, I think they'll be able to contend every year.

    (1) Lakers - They have the most dominant frontline but Thunder matchup them well
    (2) Grizzlies - They got solid frontline as well but only if Rudy Gay played the same level as Durant
    (3) Celtics - As long as the big 4 returned, with 4 HORers they have a chance.
