The 3 Point Line Needs to Change

    I agree with moving back the 3-point line and enlarging the court. As we all know, 3-pointers are worth 50% than a regular FG, but the shot is not even close to 50% harder. Morey (and now pretty much everybody) has reliably used analytics to exploit this disparity to the point that we get nearly everyone shooting 3s to exploit that advantage. Although there are some guys like Steph and Trae with unlimited range, moving back the 3-point line will inevitably decrease 3-point shooting % from non-elite shooter, leveling out that disparity. It will force players to use more parts of the floor, instead of just a game full of lay-ups/dunks and corner 3s. And yes, with bigger, faster players who can shoot further from the basket, we should enlarge the court to accommodate that. It would give room to move the 3-point line and more space to operate on the court. 55 x 100 seems reasonable but even 55 x 94 would be fine as it's really the width that is a problem.
