    Here's the full clip:

"Threatening to kill your political opponents" lmao. He was saying Liz Cheney should put herself in the soldier's shoes she likes to send off to all these unnecessary wars, while she sits comfy in a DC office building.

Again, these dishonest takes are why the Dems are losing big next week.

I know that you are a bit slow in picking this up.

And I did not connect all of the dots for you.

Trump said "with 9 barrels shooting at her", which you are correct is not a direct reference to Trump ordering Cheney to be killed.

    BUT

Let's look at the more broad context. I know you can do it; it just takes a little work.

Trump has a history of making veiled indirect threats against other people, which his true believers hear and take action on. For example, some public statements from Trump caused death threats to the daughter of a judge that was presiding over one of his legal cases. Another example is that Trump's many threats against Nancy Pelosi caused a person to break into her house and attack her husband.

There is a non-zero chance that this Trump public statement will cause more death threats to be headed Cheney's way ... and ... albeit smaller chance that one of his wack-a-do followers will attack Cheney.

This is not normal. This should not be acceptable behavior for a serious candidate for President.

I think there are smart and respectable people on both sides who have chosen to support either candidate for whatever personal reasons are most important to them.

Neither side are "primarily racists" or "primarily evil" or whatever.

Man are you seriously trying to defend these comments? I watched the "full context" video and I still heard a man saying that one of his opponents should be targeted by a firing squad.

Doesn't it get tiring white-knighting for such a coward who, if you're to be believed, speaks so poorly so often that he needs a full media ecosystem to divine his real message? And, if I'm not supposed to believe his rhetoric, how can I believe his policies outlined in the same speeches where I'm supposed to ignore his rhetoric?

Trump explicitly plans to implement firing squads - there is no double entendre here.

he wants to have his enemies murdered, just like he tried to have his Vice President killed. That is his plan.

Saying "oh he probably won't be able to carry it out, mabye" says more about the kind of sad sack anti american POS the person saying it is than it does about any policy forecast.

This is how I interpreted it as well.

There is a robust stream of dishonest takes from conservative outlets and social media as well, which I’m reminded of on a daily basis on here. Funny that you think this is not going to affect the results.

“What do you think of firing squads?”

That’s the question Donald Trump repeatedly asked some close associates in the run-up to the 2024 presidential campaign, three people familiar with the situation tell Rolling Stone.

It’s not an idle inquiry: The former president, if re-elected, is still committed to expanding the use of the federal death penalty and bringing back banned methods of execution, the sources say. He has even, one of the sources recounts, mused about televising footage of executions, including showing condemned prisoners in the final moments of their lives.

Specifically, Trump has talked about bringing back death by firing squad, by hanging, and, according to two of the sources, possibly even by guillotine. He has also, sources say, discussed group executions. Trump has floated these ideas while discussing planned campaign rhetoric and policy desires, as well as his disdain for President Biden’s approach to crime.

In at least one instance late last year, according to the third source, who has direct knowledge of the matter, Trump privately mused about the possibility of creating a flashy, government-backed video-ad campaign that would accompany a federal revival of these execution methods. In Trump’s vision, these videos would include footage from these new executions, if not from the exact moments of death. “The [former] president believes this would help put the fear of God into violent criminals,” this source says. “He wanted to do some of these [things] when he was in office, but for whatever reasons didn’t have the chance.”

The irony here is too much.

    https://www.nationalreview.com/2014/10/fevered-delusions-naomi-wolf-charles-c-w-cooke/
"Over the last eight years, Naomi Wolf has written hysterically about coups and about vaginas and about little else besides. She has repeatedly insisted that the country is on the verge of martial law, and transmogrified every threat—both pronounced and overhyped—into a government-led plot to establish a dictatorship. She has made prediction after prediction that has simply not come to pass. Hers are not sober and sensible forecasts of runaway human nature, institutional atrophy, and constitutional decline, but psychedelic fever-dreams that are more typically suited to the InfoWars crowd."

Thanks, was going to ask if you could quote from it since I couldn’t access it.

I have no doubts that Trump privately mused about these flashy theatrical executions for certain classes of people (like gang members). He’s like a Duterte.

They can’t help themselves breh. They put out a turd dumber than dirt candidate thinking we will not notice when she speaks. The more the voters get to listen to this piece of doo doo, the more the voters are rejecting her. The Dems reek of desperation. This place ought to be fun next week with all the woke clowns’ tears in here. Lol

I have been reading and keeping close tabs on all of this - from the markets to the top "pundits", the alt and mainline media - as annoying as it can be, it is a diversion from my work dealing with stressful people.

Having said that - it is pretty damn clear that this stuff is all close and no one really knows what is going to happen. The media gave a bounce to Harris when she replaced Biden - since then the media gave Trump a bounce the last 2-3 weeks and now - that we are days are days away, they are depicting it like a toss up, when it always has been.

Nate Silver and Harry Enten both have gone out of their way to not give an answer as to win. Enten on Wednesday gives a list of why Harris will win, then Thursday gave a list about why Trump will win. Nate Silver says its a toss up - then when pressed said his "gut is maybe Trump wins" and next time he is asked he says he doesn't know.

Republicans will point to the fact that Trump did better than his polls the first two times he ran - Democrats will point to the fact that Democrats exceeded the polling results in 2020 and that there is no real pattern to exceeding expectations.

Even new voter registration and early voting doesn't tell us much - because in 2020 there was a pandemic - and a lot can change in 4 years.

We will just have to wait and see the outcome - and whoever wins, their party is going to over play the victory and claim that they have a "mandate" after winning by 1-3% points.

    Bro.
No need to call anyone a $hithead.
I get your passion and I agree with you on some points.
But it gets hard to take anyone seriously who calls Harris Kameltoe and such.
I'm no Harris supporter, but I try to keep thigs civil until someone calls me something that derogatory.

Despite reeking of ungodly amounts of misogyny - I don't think that Trump worded it the best, but he wasn't saying he wanted to physically hard her.

The civility has gone a long time ago bro with some individuals in this place. This cuck of a poster has always been disrespectful towards me and other conservatives around here. I would ignore him before but every now and then the little wannabe bully just needs a little attitude adjustment. You have a problem with another poster despite how civil you’re behaving towards him.

I have no problem with you though. Peace!
