The EU bureaucrats are dumbasses. I have lost hope for Germany and the EU. I hope Trump rips them a new one. The EU would need a Javier Milei/Nayib Bukele hybrid, but if you think the USA have a "deep state", the EU is a million times worse.
This is very true. I've had to close a factory and unfortunately lay off many workers in Germany due to them shutting down the nuclear power plants several years ago for environmental reasons. This had the effect of forcing Germany to purchase Russian natural gas, which was a piece to the puzzle of emboldening Russia to attack Ukraine. Then Germany even had to start back up some coal-fired power plants. Just dumbassery.
No real German would move to Austria. Austria did not pay their war reparations! (as drunkenly ranted by a good German friend of mine once)
Germany's leftist government is literally destroying the country. But we have had leftist governments even under the "conservative" party. Angela Merkel is from East Germany and was an activist in the youth organization of the SED, the communist party. She also studied in Russia. She, like Olaf Scholz, does not have children. They both have deep ties to Russia. And then you have the delusional Green party, who are a weird mix of Marxists, pedophiles and climate doomsday prophets. It's a complete disaster, because even the conservative party is still infiltrated by Merkel followers who could be in any of the leftist parties with their positions. And the "liberal/libertarian" party is meaningless; they enabled the current leftist government. They will not even be in the parliament next time. Freedom and love of the USA are sadly not popular in Germany.
Funny watching some of the talking head Dems double down on identity politics. It's not working breh. The blue hair liberal women with their knitted hats maybe buying it but most people aren't buying your schtick.
