It really doesn’t matter. Best scenario Kyrie opts out next year and KD stays and doesn’t play much. Any trade would have brought some decent players back to Nets and we would get a mediocre pick in 2024.

There is still a chance that 17 is the best pick we get from the trade. With that said, I like our chances and the trade. Them acquiring Ayton would be ideal for us. Simmons and Ayton will not get it done. If they get a haul from the durant and kyrie break up, then we will be lucky to get lottery picks. I am excited but not as optimistic as most.
