I'm much calmer now. I think Turner is a little overrated on this board, but your earlier post makes more sense now.

Fair point... I (and probably some others) do tend to value Turner highly... we probably could secure him with Wood and Brooklyn's pick (esp, if he wants out of Indy). I think I went high b/c supposedly Dallas is on a Turner trade this summer as well.

Crazy how much a lot of this depends on the draft pick.

Obviously getting one of the bigs would be great (Chet, Jabari, Paolo) but if we fall to guard range (Ivey, Sharpe) we could be looking at the need for a HUGE roster shakeup.

So knowing damn well we should start thinking about the future of this team as a winner, if Deandre Ayton became a viable option because Suns ownership is too damn cheap, would you guys want to acquire him. We need defense in the worst way and I would love to have Ayton as part of our team. I would be okay with paying him max money since we won't have to pay anyone else that much money once John Wall is gone from this roster.

I selected the wrong answer, I meant to pick 3 to 4 more pieces.

On the Silas one, the assistant coach question: sounds like he's keeping all of them. The exception given was if one of them gets another offer somewhere else (like Barbara Turner). Still... sounds like all the lead assistants are coming back.

Maybe Abdelfattah can fill Turner's spot.

IMO, if another team do poach us, the most likely ....might be Weaver.

    Updated thoughts (presuming lottery holds)::
    (1) Trade Eric Gordon + 17 to either San Antonio, Washington, or Knicks to move up in draft
    (2) Trade Nwaba to contender for future 2nd (IND, BOS, CHI)
    (3) Draft F Jabari Smith
    (4) Draft G Dyson Daniels
    (5) Sign F/C Jalen Smith with MLE (4 years, $40M) first 2 years guaranteed, 3rd year is TO
    (6) Buy-out John Wall for $40M

    Scoot – Daniels – Nix

    Thrilla – JayGup – Queen

    Jabari Smith– Tate – Gbird

    Jalen Smith – KM2 – Garuba

    Wood – Sengun – Fernando

    Starters would be 6'5 - 6'5 - 6'10 - 6'10-6'10 + athletic + everybody shoots the 3 + swiitchable on defense (somewhat)

Wood remains until a suitable deal could be had (IND? ORL?)

I would love to add Mo Bamba, but I think ORL keeps him until they could deal him.

Just some thoughts until the lottery.

I'm glad Garuba got a chance at the end of these season. I think that Bruno Fernando should be brought back. He's tall, strong and he can be a useful backup center. Silas seems to have no faith in him, unfortunately.

I'm not sure how to increase Josh's role even without another additional guard. He's too good for limited minutes and he's a scorer who can pass a bit. I want to retain him and KPJ.
