On Rockets specifically, I have really liked Green lately and think he is going to ruin the pro-tank next season crowd's dreams. Though if he doesn't and we are in same situation with 10 games left, I expect a tank.
The rockets have tried to win for most of this season. I don’t get why people think they could have won a bunch of games if they wanted to. They stink. Next year they might develop into a better team and win more, but they won’t win because they decide to stop tanking lol
well... probably true... but timeline is a tough one. Too long, perpetual suckitude, too short, not good enough to win it all? OKC went wins wise starting in 04/05 (Sonics) 52, 35, 31, 20, 23, 50 - only two awful teams.
Considering Wall had negative WS/48 last year, a figure even a 19 year old rookie Jalen Green managed to avoid as of today, I'd argue giving his minutes to KPJ and later Shroder (yuck!) gave us at least 2-4 wins. We didn't lose 20 in a row with Panzergruppenfeuher Wall because he was too good.
difference between tanking and just being trash..the Rockets are the latter, but the result is the same
You and I may just disagree on the definition of tanking. Before drafting Durant, the Sonics traded away Ray Allen, then traded away Rashard Lewis the next season to help tank for a high pick which became Westbrook. They improved in 2008 and didn't make any major tanking moves, so the fact that they drafted Harden wasn't due to a "tanking" mentality, but rather just a young team gelling. There's a big distinction there.
Harden was holding them back with his extra rinse washed self just wait until Benjamin recovers from his brain and back injury…Nets winning it all this year
I'm just excited for this pick overall. Obviously the slight chance of it moving into the top 3 is great but the realistic finish of it being #15 or so means we still get a very good prospect.
If the season would end today and the Nets win their play-in game then we'd get their 16th pick. If they lose their play-in game (could happen since they'd have to win twice) then we'd get no worse than the 14th pick (with an extremely slight change of getting another top 3).
The NBA should up that chance for allowing harden to screw us over and dictate the trade that we were allowed to make.
Regardless of how harden left us. Watching the Nets fking crash and burn with Durant/irving makes me appreciate how harden, lebron, kobe plus other were able to carry sht teams during respective point of their career to playoffs. U want players like that. Harden took this team to playoffs. Asik Terrence jones Greg Smith Cole Aldrich Carlos defino Francisco Gracia Thomas robinson Pat Beverly J lin Chandler That being said watching the Nets crash and burn is funny to see. Choosing anti vax irving over bum harden, man just legit ruin kd finest game. Watching Lakers fall out also Is satisfying.
