KD coming back and I think adding Seth Curry will be an under rated move. He is a great shooter to have w Harris gone, they needed some role players they can rely on besides Patty Mills. On paper once fully healthy this team looks incredible, but I am unsure on Nash's ability to put it together. Nash is that bad, but KD is that good that he could defy bad coaching. We will see.
Had the interaction gone the other way, they would have escorted the fan out of the building for verbal abuse. I personally feel the fans should get more slack because the players are making 50 million dollars a year to not get psyched out. You know all the players probably talk way more trash to each other than what they can hear the fans yell. Clearly there are limits to verbal abuse, maybe my take isn't fair. Maybe making a million dollars a week doesn't give anyone the right to use cuss words towards the players, but there is clearly a double standard if KD doesn't get fined. If fans can't cuss at all, then the players shouldn't be allowed to cuss at each other. The whole arena should be a safe space. I wonder what Kobe would say about this generation.....
Sengun already don't get that many minutes. I'd rather he pick up Wood's leftover's minutes for the rest of the season instead of giving any to Garuba who just isn't very good at this point. There aren't many minutes for the 4-5, especially when you also want to give KJ minutes.
KD dgaf, and I’m here for it fan had probably been in KD’s ear all game and this clip is just what happened to go viral
Considering Green has gone from dog excrement to looking like he deserved his draft pick, I think shade towards Silas should be limited to winning games and not on development for the time being.
Players are people, Elon Musk is still a dude. Money does not change having emotions The problem is not cussing, the player has more adrenaline playing a highly contested game, the fan just has a little from watching. I think making sure security works is the most important factor, do not want another Malice at the Palace incident.
Not even winning games but more rotation and young player development/growth. Silas knows his role is to not win games this year.
Someone in another thread made a pretty convincing case that it was one of the assistant coaches responsible for Green's development. Verdict is still out on Silas imo.
I get what you're saying. I even said in my post that there are limits and money doesn't change that. I sort of see an opposing team as 12 heels. I think it's okay to ride them a little bit within reason, I think that is part of the experience. What the guy said to Durant was completely fine, but my point is that had the dialogue been reversed, the fan would have been ejected. Durant is making generational wealth every year he plays, and who is paying him that money? The answer is the fans, half of which are opposing fans. While 50 million dollars a year still makes you a man, it also changes things. My point is if you asked Durant what he would rather have, 50 million a year and heckling, or the national average of 51k per year and no heckling, than he chooses the 50 million every day. Yes, the 50 million dollar man and 50k man are both men, but when one man's time is worth 1000x more, then they live in different realities. I know I'm deviating from the point, and I may not be necessarily disagreeing with you, but celebrity entertainers have chosen to be judged by the public. Can you imagine if Reggie Miller had Spike Lee ejected in 94? That is one of the greatest moments in NBA History, and moments like that are being destroyed by a soft generation in my opinion. If the league changed it's rules and held both fans and players accountable, then as much as I would hate to see that, at least it would be consistent. I don't like to see the players that get paid 50 million a year being treated as above the fans, because ultimately, as you alluded with Musk, they are both "dudes". The arena should have rules in place, because ultimately it's a family place. But things like the fan getting banned in NY for telling Dolan to sell the team is unacceptable. I don't want to see another Malice, but in America, we have freedom of speech, we don't have freedom of assault, which is what triggered the Malice when Ron was hit by a fan's drink. Super long post, I know. I'm just venting, and I doubt we disagree on anything. I think we both can agree both players and fans speech should be within the same guidelines, not what the video above showed.
If the Raptors ascend to the 6th seed, that means Kyrie can play in the Nets first play in game (assuming Nets remain 8th seed) I need Raptors to lose and Cavs to win more.
