Simmons to Brooklyn would be disastrous for those Nets picks. This would be real bad.

I definitely would rather the Nets have a broken down Harden on a max than Simmons and some other assets but IMO the Nets getting involved with Klutch is a potential huge benefit for the Rockets rather than bad. The Lakers getting Davis is the only instance of a Klutch connection helping a team and the Lakers are still falling apart. Otherwise Klutch has mostly left teams in disarray.

The one thing I will say that’s interesting is all 3 of these opinions now seem pretty prevalent and they really can’t co-exist logically

    1. Tilman sucks for making James want to leave
    2. Lol at wanting the Rockets to trade for Simmons now
    3. OMG I really hope the Nets don’t turn Harden into Simmons.

Yup. Harden is not happy about Kyrie. From what I understand the Nets want more than Simmons.

Simmons, Maxy and curry? Or Simmons, Maxy and Thybulle? I could see them maybe taking Simmons, curry and Thybulle.

The Nets want Maxey and picks with Simmons. Morey isn’t doing that. If the Nets end up with just Simmons, they will have overpaid. They gave the Rockets a lot for Harden and Simmons isn’t in that class. Nets want to add some more quality players with Simmons… I can’t see Daryl moving Maxey. Don’t be shocked to see Harden at the 3…. Embiid and Harden will likely get along well off the court. Joel will call out Harden but he will take it when Harden throws it back at him. Paul and Westbrook liked dishing it out but not taking it back.

    sure they can

last I checked, the Nets have KD and Kyrie, while the Rockets are 1 of the worst teams in the league…Kyrie and KD can handle all the scoring while Ben helps on defense if he buys in…all Simmons would do here is make us a bit less trash

Except that if you're Kyrie, you miss 100% of the (home games for the) shots you don't take

    That is what Harden does.

He's always played defense like he doesn't give af except when he can use his girth to play post defense.

Anything perimeter oriented and he's not going to be engaged except for the occasional lucky swipe at the ball or jumping a passing lane.

He's a bad defender who puts in little effort.

One of if not the best playmakers and scorers ever with the ball in his hands. But anything where he doesn't have the ball he is not going to try much. Moving off ball, playing defense...nada.

At full strength the Nets can be really good with Simmons, maybe as good as with Harden if they can turn Harden Into Simmons and another key starter/rotation player like Maxey or Thybulle.

False. Harden was up and down as a defender. Some seasons when the Rockets were really good, Harden was actually a solid defender overall. He tends to give less effort or get lost defensively when the team is bad defensively overall.

lower ceiling than a healthy Big 3 since that offense was just too overwhelming, but still good enough to be a top EC team

would give them someone to put on Giannis

can’t see Morey giving up Maxey, but maybe Thybulle

if I’m Morey, I’m trying to finesse Simmons plus a pick or 2 for Harden

So, I haven't been keeping up with the news, did Harden quit on another team already?

I don't get a lot of Nets fans confidence that they can win games with Just Kyrie when they play road games...

Kyrie has never done anything of note all on his own and when he had his team in Boston surrounded by good players he didn't deliver at all.

I have no idea why they think he is going to carry them.

Idgaf what happens as long as it results in the Nets sucking more. If it makes the Nets better I hate it.

i don’t care if Harden wins a ring.

I don’t care if DM wins a ring.

I don’t like Kylie. I dont like Doc Rivers. I’m ok with KD but he is a very passive aggressive kind of guy. I like Embiid but dgaf if he wins a ring or not. I have little opinion on the Simmons fiasco. 60% on him, 40% on the organization. Sure he’s a lil beeyatch but countless players have requested and gotten a trade in the nba… main difference here is just that DM didn’t trade him, which is weird.

if the 76ers add Harden but lose Maxey, Thybulle, Simmons and picks I’m not sure they’re that much better. If the Nets add Simmons (and he’s ready to go), Maxey and Thyblle they don’t seem much worse and probably are better - defense is underrated and this makes them way better defensively.

I think the Sixers would be better off keeping that package and trading less for Dame or just Simmons for CJ or something like that.

i live in Portland. I want him bad. Keep hoping Stone is smart enough to go all on an offer but after today’s trade it’s pretty clear they are building around him and Dame.

Nets fans think Morey is going to give them a haul, why Philly fans are on the same ol’ “Nets have no leverage” that they were screaming when Harden was on the trade block with Houston

interested in seeing which fanbase gets disappointed

Nets fans talking about Simmons, Maxey, Thybulle, and picks…seems delusional to me, but we’ll see

Seems like dealing Maxey would be a big blow to the Sixers’ future in the not-so-remote chance Harden is close to being washed. I think the Sixers’ title contention window with Harden is basically this year, maybe next, unless James discovers Chris Paul’s fountain of youth.

I doubt Morey is doing much more than Simmons and maybe Thybulle…he probably has Maxey as an untouchable and I can’t blame him…he’s significantly better than he was last year, and Harden is noticeably worse/clearly declining

if I’m the Sixers, I’m definitely not including Maxey
