KD really chose Kyrie over James Harden…that decision will haunt him Kyrie abandoned him, and Ben Simmons is just soft meanwhile Harden is back to playing at his Houston level and the Sixers have become a contender enjoy your soulmate Kevin…Durant out here losing to depleted Heat while Kyrie is at the crib chillin and searching up nonsense to post on IG
Kyrie when he gets going has the ability to be the best player on the court in a finals game, it really is unbelievable. The last Bucks game he pretty much took over. He looks like he was conditioning and was ready during his time off, unlike Ben Simmons who somehow gave up $19M throwing a fit and still is not ready to play.
The Nets are definitely a cursed team. They first traded away half a decade worth of picks to Boston for the aging Garnett, and Pierce. That turned out to be a quick dud and those picks became perennial lottery picks for the Celtics that converted in to Tatum and Brown. They made the same trade for Harden, and it was frankly a good at the time and they had fantastic results in the first year together, but Irving's mental meltdown completely drove Harden away from the team, and now they have a team of headcases and owe half a decade of picks to the Rockets. Nets just do not win blockbuster trades.
I mean he spent most of the season resting so I guess he'll def look good and fresh compared to everyone else. Irving is a deadly scorer but nowhere near the best player in a hypothetical scenario where everyone is 100%, KD for example has had lots of much better performances like last year when he almost eliminated the Bucks singlehandedly.
KD didn't choose irving over Harden it's harden who bailed on them both after the team spent a fortune acquiring him. Harden checked out on the team, put his fatsuit on and started doing his whole hobo crap when KD got injured and Irving refused to get vaxxed. If anything KD is the victim here he got played by Harden so I dunno why you're mocking him like he chose between the 2. They were all together on the same team before Harden checked out lol.
i'm not so sure about that. kd was basically just chilling and getting high all season without a care in the world bc he already has his rings and an mvp. kyrie could do whatever he wants and kd still wouldn't say a thing to him. and with kyrie, he doesn't give a crap either bc he already has his ring too. only harden felt the pressure, knowing that he only has a few more good seasons left, and fans and media are going to judge his legacy based on whether he wins a championship or not. harden knew the nets just didn't have the urgency or the championship vibe.. he knows you can't just expect to turn it on the playoffs - you've gotta build those winning habits as a team all season long. i know he forced his way out but i don't blame him - he did houston a solid by leaving brooklyn so early. that team is toast.
I wanna say he’s referring to KD joining the Nets instead of the Rockets, but I could be wrong. Had KD taken a meeting with us and joined he’d have another ring for sure.
Dude averaged 35 10 5 vs the Bucks in the playoffs last year while battling injury if that's him not caring the league will be over if he cared. I agree Harden did Houston a solid by screwing over the Nets but he still screwed over the team that traded a crap ton of resources for him lol. Good for us but that's still not good for Harden's legacy or a good testament of his character.
Nets made him a marquee player and the franchise cornerstone. If he joined the Rox he woulda been the sidekick similar to GSWS situation. I mean if KD just wanted easy rings he could've stayed in GSW. It was a nobrainer to join a new team with so much capspace vs be the 2nd banana to an inferior player.
Sure, but they are not really mediocre. Played a decent game against the No 1 in the East. I would rank them at 5th. They probably end up in the Play In.
Kyrie refusing to get vaccinated because he did his own research, knowing the consequence is many, many times worse, and that doesn't even mention his "leave of absence" or whatever it was he decided to take last year. I'm not excusing Harden for obviously engineering his way out in midseason, but Kyrie's antivax bullshit distraction is way worse on many, many levels. It literally created the conditions against which Harden would bail out and was purely voluntary. Duirant getting injured is not really the same type thing as Kyrie voluntarily skipping games.
Considering Harden checked out on his team to get to Brooklyn, it should be seen as neutral from the Brooklyn POV when he checked out there.
He didn’t screw them over. He went there to win and the players he went there to join weren’t available. If a company tells you that you will only work 40 hours a week and once you get there they try to stick you with 50+, are you screwing them over if you leave? I knock him for going lethargic and dogging it, but not for getting around teammates that actually want to play every night.
yeah he tears a semi important tendon and does that too at that level. I wonder if he cared at any point through rehab lol people and their jumbles of words and narratives.
It depends how you leave at the company did you give a 30 day notice and ensure there is sufficient handover? Or did you start showing up late to work, picking fights with teammates and then not submitting your reports at the deadline so the company has no choice but to fire you? What you are doing is explaining Harden's motivation for screwing over the Nets. But saying why he bailed doesn't really excuse the fact that he bailed on them lol. If I robbed you cuz I was hungry you can understand why I robbed you but that doesn't change the fact that I robbed you nonetheless. Nets traded Jarett Allen, Caris Levert and all their picks till 2027 for Ben Simmons, Andre Drummond and Seth Curry I mean lol how much of a rip off is that exactly? They also lost Spencer Dinwiddle cuz with Irving and Harden they thought they didn't need another guard lol.
