I live in Brooklyn. I don't see them dropping the employee mandate until maybe summer. Everyone here stills wears masks OUTSIDE.
Looking at the remaining schedules for Brooklyn, Charlotte and Atlanta... Charlotte: 19 games remaining. I can see 8 realistic wins. Their schedule is pretty brutal. That would put them at 38-44 Atlanta: 21 games remaining. I see 10 realistic wins. That would put them at 39-43 Brooklyn: 19 games remaining. 7 wins without much lifting. That would put them at 39 wins and climbing.
I think everyone expects them to make the playoffs, but we can still wind up with a pick in the teens, and that’s a bonus no one expected this year.
I mean it kinda kills two birds with one stone--helps keep the germs away and also blocks out most of the NYC smell. I love visiting NYC but go down the wrong street and the odor just knocks you back a couple of feet.
The people I hang out with in town still remember that first month of the whole pandemic March-April 2019. That fear and those events definitely still color many of their decisions on mask usage.
I have an aunt who has been living in NYC for decades. She still believes that NYC is the ONLY civilized place in the world. Everywhere else is barbarian territory. LOL.
wow, pretty devastating for Brooklyn’s chances to contend this year. We’ve all seen it; you can’t just plug and play when u get to the playoffs (assuming they make the playoffs). They are gonna need time to figure each other out; Simmons is gonna need time to shake the rust off. watching the nba standings for this Brooklyn pick has become my favorite pastime.
Nets fans (bandwagon fans) probably have a pretty short fuse before they blow. Theres a good chance Irving and Simmons will not deal with that explosion that well when it goes off
If the pick makes it to 14 does that give it an opportunity to jump even higher? I believe thats the lottery system, correct? If it's 15 or greater does that lock it in to whatever slot it lands in? It would be awesome if the pick dropped into lottery territory and Rockets got something like the 5th Pick with it. Rockets could be picking up Chet Holmgren with #2 and Jaden Ivey with #5. I know that's highly unlikely but would be Dope AF if it did.
I believe if they miss the playoffs from the play in tournament there's a less than 3% chance of it landing on either #1 #2 #3 or #4 with a single pick of the ball Tankathon has the odds: https://www.tankathon.com/pick_odds
