This off-season is do or die with them and Lillard.

I could see them doing that trade and then trading there 2 remaining 1sts for as many win now players as possible.

Honestly doesn't matter, it's all on Durant now. Simmons or Irving can't win a series by themselves the way a Durant or Harden can, they're not that type of player. What they'll do is help the team be very efficient for 3 quarters before Durant must take over and Simmons' defender can NOT be free to harass Durant in the 4th.

They have a shot at the title, but regular season is going to be ugly till Durant is 100%.

Part of me wonders if KD isn't as close to returning as they let on.

Nash said KD is likely back the following week

Kevin Durant continues to make progress in his rehab from a sprained left MCL and his return to the floor will happen at some point in the next week.

"Every day closer," Nash said after shootaround before Saturday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. "We'll see. I expect in the next week he'll be back for sure. It could be quick; it could be the whole week barring any setbacks."

Durant has been out since suffered the injury on Jan. 15.

"I think with Kevin he's been a great healer throughout his career," Nash said. "So the No. 1 thing is to get him back healthy and feeling secure in his health and his body so he can move and be free. When he's back, obviously he adds a ton to our team on both ends of the floor ... one of the greatest scorers of all time. And we also know he helps us defensively; he gives us more size and length. So he's a big miss for us, and whenever he gets back, he'll impact our team."

Missed more than half a season, going to take time to get in game shape with all that inactivity.

We took Harden's preternatural durability for granted here.

He was not injured. He should have been keeping in shape all this time if he really cared. I guess he didn't expect to be traded this season.

If the Sixers and Nets matched up in the postseason, would Ben be able to function on the road?

Nets fanbase is so small, Sixers fans might invade Barclays and boo his ass at home too

    LoL

    Ridiculous.

Nets need to go ahead and do us a solid. Throw in the towel for this season, try to regroup next year.

I still think there's a small chance nets could miss the playoffs.

If KD misses much more time and Simmons is out for a while, Kyrie isn't carrying them anywhere besides the lottery.

Even if Simmons comes back, I just don't think they are going to mesh all that well.

Drummond and Simmons on the court together is going to be horrible for their spacing.
Even with Lamarcus on the floor it's going to be tough.

For that team, in order for Simmons to play effectively, they will almost have to play with no big man when he's on the court because none of their bigs put any fear in anyone from three.

I was willing to take Simmons here in Sengun was involved in the deal and we picked up Chet. Simmons with green, kpj, wood and Chet on the floor gives you four guys who should be able to shoot around him.

Brooklyn doesn't have a lineup like that that will also be able to defend effectively.

Giannis has made like four horrible plays in a row down the stretch to try to seal choking away this game. Does he hate the Rockets so much that he wants to look like a bum in a national game?

The nets are known for supporting the Russians. Just sayin we could use that to keep them out of the playoffs and regain confidence in the pick.

Is the pick still sitting at 16/17?
