They probably won't but if they are a home team Kyrie currently won't be able to play. And if they end up on the road in Toronto or NY he won't be able to play. I'd bet on them getting in but if Simmons doesn't fit they might lose the play in.
Hopefully the 2023 pick isnt the best of the lot. That would be disappointing. Let's see if Simmons can handle NYC.

I could easily see Charlotte or possibly Atlanta passing Brooklyn in the standings as they're healthier unless KD or Simmons return quickly. I don't see them rushing KD back at all. The play in kind of hurts us because even if Brooklyn is 9th or 10th place they can still make the playoffs and deny us a lottery pick. Absolute best case scenario would be Simmons sits out for another month to avoid the 3/10 game at Philly and the Knicks go on a tear to catch up and force Brooklyn out of the play in altogether. Extremely unlikely, but if you told me at the beginning of the season that there was even a remote possibility this could be a top ten pick I wouldn't have believed it.
