Agreed. That's probably why Maxey seems to be the deal breaker for the Nets. I am praying that Morey would be greedy enough to refuse giving Maxey.

“There’s no negotiation going on between Philadelphia and Brooklyn. The idea they’re going back and forth, I don’t believe that to be accurate.”

“Brooklyn still believes their best path is get Durant back, get Harden healthy and Kyrie on the court and get those 3 together again after the all-star break when they’re hopeful Durant is back.”

“Barring a flurry of negotiations that hasn’t happened yet, Harden is likely to be with the Nets. Again, it’s always fluid. I don’t sense an appetite from Brooklyn to do a deal that is just simply Simmons-for-Harden. If Philadelphia decided to get aggressive with an offer,…I don’t believe there’s any negotiations going on right now.”

That's great news for us; trade deadline buzzer goes off and Harden is still a Net is the best possible outcome for us

The fact that Shams said the other stars have a free flowing organic style shows he is just making **** up to fit a narrative.

When have Durant and Kyrie ever not played an iso heavy style, Ker was talked about over and over about Durant sharing the ball.

Harden is the guy who has sacrificed shots and touches since going to the Nets.

The nets have 0 room to say anything about his "playstyle". When he and KD play together w/ their actual core supporting cast the record speaks for themselves. Add in kyrie and everyone knows there record is elite. They obviously just haven't been able to for obvious reasons that are well known whether is personal or injury related

If the Nets are actually engaged in trade negotiation with Harden but the deal doesn't get done because of Seth Curry, Thybulle or a pick or 2, Morey would've monumentally ****ed up.

Embiid is playing like the best player on the planet recently. He's healthy and IF they they had more talent it would be their best chance at winning a title since Butler was on the team. Morey owes it to Embiid and the team to resolve the Simmons situation before the deadline.

Waiting to sign Harden outright in the offseason is a huge gamble. Harden isn't likely to leave 70+ million on the table to sign as FA when he can get 5/272+ in a opt in and trade.

G-league MVP must be something. Even Jalen Green couldn't achieve that.

It’s still early to say the pick get valuable.
After all star break, the Nets possibly win some games. The gap is not large for the eastern team standing.

They were in the Windhorst Deal Zone until that point, then they left the Deal Zone,

and actually left the Deal solar system passing the Deal Oort Cloud,

And then past the Deal Cluster and even the Deal Galaxy,

and were last seen traveling at superluminal speeds towards the Cosmic Deal Microwave Background Radiation.

Wouldn't we want the Nets to get as little in return as possible?!

Whether the pics improve or not won't be based on one event, it will require 2,3,4 dominos to fall. Harden not getting traded and then walking, or Harden getting traded and Simmons not performing and becoming untradeable, and causing KD or Kyrie to ask out. Either way just glad this is no longer our drama to deal with.

I'm not sure I want Simmons to be dealt to Philly at all. He's not nearly on Harden's level so their ceiling would be lower, but he is much younger and could prolong their window or at least help keep them mediocre during the regular season. We need the Nets to be absolutely terrible eventually. I think the best chance of that is if their current core ages out of their primes and they can't retool. We basically need a repeat of what happened with the Net-Celtics trade.

I do think Harden walking at the end of the season is more ideal than being traded for Simmons either this deadline or as a SnT. What Simmons does in the playoffs is irrelevant for us but he's still a good enough floor raiser in the regular season.
