lol... well, they get to find out how much a roller derby team would demand to be happy... and they're probably going to have to meet their price. WFT had a similar issue with people trade marking all sorts of potential names that could have been options. Trademark law seems pretty cut/dry. Not much room for interpretation. Yes, money will always fix things... just surprised it got this far (with Cleveland already selling merchandise, etc.) without full confirmation that they would not be infringing upon any trademark violations.
The roller derby team needs the guy that returned Brady's 600th TD pass to negotiate for them. A team source told ESPN that Byron Kennedy, who was sitting in the end zone when Evans tossed the record-breaking ball into the stands, will receive two signed Brady jerseys, a helmet, another jersey autographed by Evans and Evans' game-worn cleats. Brady told the Mannings that he also promised Kennedy that he'd receive one Bitcoin, which had a value of more than $62,000 as of Tuesday morning. The team is also providing a pair of season tickets to Kennedy for the remainder of 2021, all of 2022 and a $1,000 credit to the official team store.
No. But we didn't sell our future to make a big splash at the trade deadline either to the chagrin of many.
Lol, interesting. you managed to Necrobump a thread responding to news that happened on Aug 23, 2021... which itself was over two months before the prior last message in the thread (Oct 28, 2021)
Echoing what I said on here a few weeks back (that Click may be out) from what I was told from my friend who's pretty tight with some people within the organization. Will be interesting to see how this plays out.
While I don't think Click's MLB roster choices have been anything special, cutting him lose would be some extremely dangerous "grass is greener" decision making. Having said that offensively, Correa was very retainable at his current number, we made no other offseason additions and we didn't do a ton at the deadline. If the offense lays an egg and the postseason is short I could see why Crane would be mad if he gave him the green light to spend some money.
Crazy to think there's nearly THIRTY MILLION $$$ sitting there that could've (and more importantly should have) been used to upgrade the team.
I would be surprised and very disappointed if Crane let Click go. The only reason to do that would be out of anger that he didn’t overpay at the deadline.
Curious to see if there's any chatter that Hinch could be on the hot seat? With Dusty done after this year (most likely), any possibility that Crane considers it?
It is if he's picking the guy https://www.mlive.com/tigers/2022/0...on-gm-search-i-want-to-help-get-it-right.html Or if he BECOMES the guy
