Ha! didnt realize I left of the "f" in that post. We can go with the "Gallo ****". Has a nice ring to it.

Good gawd. I guess the "Gallo ****" is a much much lesser McCovey shift.

TBS just gave Pittsburgh credit for Charlie Mortons nickname ,"CFM", and never even mentioned him as an Astro. Huh?

Looks like NYY/TB is going the distance. It going 5 helps us in that we will have had more rest time.

Kinda torn on this one. I want NYY to lose. I always want NYY to lose. But, they also may be the easier team for us to beat in the ALCS.

    Opinions?

Huge bonus for the Astros is that NY needing 5 games takes Gerrit Cole out of starting 2 games - he'd be relegated to only Game 4, or both Game 3 and 7, but both on 3 days' rest - after pitching tomorrow on 3 days' rest.

I kinda do to. I just hate to see them have to win over a team (TB) I like more for it to happen. :D

Holy crap, the Glayber Torres HR is every bit as impressive as Correa's was.

They didn't mention Cole as an Astro either. Just his Legacy to his "post season success." But I started watching in the middle of the second inning.

The hate is real, but now they got no other choice but to talk about us all series long.

I thought it would be NYY. Those guys usually find a way. Not today. Not anymore in 2020. They are done. To not get out of the ALDS is going to have some serious blow back. It will be interesting to see who is assigned the blame.

I think Cole did what was expected, so the ire of NYY fans should be directed somewhere else.

I wonder if they will play the asterisk card here. Say that the 2020 season and playoffs are tainted and meaningless. Someone will, count on it.

But, here we go. Its TB with Morton & Company.

So much going on right now sports wise and politically. Anybody have tv ratings for MLB playoffs vs Thursday NFL vs NBA playoffs? Kind of curious on who is leading viewership cause these baseball games have been good.

Yankees have been ok... but everybody else has been mediocre to awful. The Astros saw a mild increase in their ratings as the series went on.

Awful Announcing has pretty good updates of all sports’ ratings.

In the end, not sure if any of it matters. Baseball has been a regional sport for the last decade. Local markets with teams in the playoffs will tune in... but unlikely to capture much else.

I didn't watch the Yankees Rays game but did anyone check under Mike Broussaeu's shirt to see if he had a buzzer telling what pitch Chapman was going to throw?

I mean I've been hearing for a year how it's impossible to hit a game winning home run off of Chapman..
