I was at MMP for the Kent homer, it was the greatest sports experience I ever had... I just got some major chills.

Now I guess the question bears to be asked to all you baseball geniuses out there "In the playoffs, does good pitching beat good hitting"? I guess we'll see?

I would equate good pitching to the old adage that offense wins games but defense wins championships. Good pitching is the cornerstone to any top-notch defense. So it all starts and ends there. Hell we would wouldn't even be here if it wasn't for our 3 aces. I have no doubt our good pitching will beat their good hitting. The question is...will our offense show up to bring us home.

Apparently the Philies don't like the Astros as a team.

Jimmy Rollins was just being interviews on Stephen Ass Smith's show on ESPN and he said hopefully the Cubs will take care of business. "Chicago doesn't like the Astros as much as we don't like them. "

Well, I'd rather have great pitching than just great hitting. I like where we are. We have great pitching.

Time for Oswalt to put that little comment into his memory and send a fastball into the back of old Jimmy the next time he sees him at the plate.

True, I hope this holds up. I want so much for the astros to go to the world series.

I was at The Wet Spot during that game, as well. Small world.

I have to admit there was some doubt in my mind at the beginning of the season , but there was always something in the back of my mind telling me something special was gonna happen .

Well, I know half of Jimmy as well as I should and I like less than half of him half as much as he deserves.

Sounds like preemptive sour grapes to me.

Preemptive? The Faillies are 0-for-the-season against the Astros.

I've said this a few times the past two seasons.

Remind me to never doubt Phil Garner..

    GO STROS!
