1.Penetration, getting to the basket and getting the fouls called, not settling for the Luther-Head-3-pointer-after-wasting-20-seconds-doing-nothing syndrome. 2.Making free throws.
One of the players from the Championship years would have to go down in a tragic accident and perish but have their organs saved and able to be donated to a recipient. From there McGrady could get the new, controversial but theoretically viable "Heart of a Champion" transplant.
Because comparatively you're such a major contributer? What was the point of the thread? "2 things" - it's right in the thread title. I gave my take, though a funny-to-some and not-so-funny-to-others "joke" it still was a valid post in line with the tone of the thread. Both the first to "point me out", and you, ico4498, have not made any such posts about "2 things." On the contrary, you've both just tried to attack my humor... and my take on "2 things." So, currently, the first post I responded to was unnecessary, as it was an attack on me, instead of a "2 things" contribution... as was your ill mannered attempt at a contribution, again without "2 things." What gives? I'll say it in another way... My take: 1) We need to have the higher score of the two teams competing by the end of the game. 2) Repeat rule number one (I'll go further and add "x 4"). Why is that so hard to take? A little obvious humor on a board that many times takes itself so seriously is welcome in my book... Otherwise those that responded similarly, and those that responded positively to my post would not have felt they could be free to share a lighthearted moment in cyberspace... Why is that so bad? Meanwhile, I've yet to read any contribution from those opposed to my humor, as it pertains to the "2 things" addressed, or proposed that we all contribute to... So then, what say you? Fill in the blanks... 1) 2) Feel free to use more points that you find original, if you can be original, and leave my posts out of your quote boxes if you don't have anything to contribute. I'm dying to hear your super serious diagnosis of this first round that we all know ultimately hinges on your message board expertise. I am not unnecessary, btw. My wife and kids depend on me, for starters... and many around this great wide world of the interwebs have actually thanked me for my levity, especially in stressful times. If you don't like me, it's probably best I don't know... I might just post another unimportant message (as if 99% of the posts on any of these threads are ground breaking, life threatening, or have dire consequences, or any importance outside of web-based gamesmanship). To recap: 1) More points than the Jazz. 2) See the simplicity and lightheartedness intended in point number one, you enigmatic, unhappy "analysts." Honestly, I just chose to not go into it the way so many others have... I 've been accused of just being a "homer cheerleader" for many years anyway.
part of the reason this team went on a 22 game winstreak and became so good without Yao is because guys like Rafer Alston stepped up. he elevated his game, drove the ball and actually made floaters. without Rafer, we lost our PG penetration.
I feel like Jean Claude van Damme would be of some use in the series. To win in Utah, his mission will be: 1. To find and kill the man with the remote control moving our backboard around every time we shoot. 2. To rescue the head official's daughter who has been taken hostage somewhere in the building, and to kill anyone that tries to stop him. And 2b: To kill Utah's mascot in a spectacular kitchen fight, just cause: (WARNING! This clip has tons of late-80's early-90's blood and gore that we all came to know and love.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eftKwZzT15U
Call it wishful thinking if you like, but I have a feeling Bobby Jackson is going to have a huge series. Like Avg. 20pts a game series. McGrady will step up this round and be 30pts at least. And I am a a so called bandwagon McGrady hater by most on here.
The Readiness of these two guys. Scola/Landry. Rotoworld Analysis Landry still hasn't quite got it back together from where he was. Scola has turned into a monster and is getting major minutes. From Rotoworld Carl Landry-F/C- Rockets Apr. 12 - 12:45 am et Carl Landry had his best game of April on Friday, finishing with 14 points and seven boards on 6-of-8 shooting in 19 minutes. He hadn't scored more than seven points in April, so he's a very risky fantasy play right now and hasn't really bounced back since suffering a knee injury last month. Luis Scola started again and had 19 points and five boards in the win. Luis Scola Tracy McGrady hit just 2-of-11 shots for seven points, but the Rockets were able to beat the Clippers and secure the No. 5 seed (and homecourt advantage in the first round) in the West on Wednesday. McGrady had 11 assists, but this is not a good omen heading into the playoffs. In fact, the last time T-Mac hit at least half his shots in a game? March 8. He'll need to play much better than this in the playoffs, although the assists were nice. Luis Scola had 22 points and 10 boards, and should be a solid fantasy power forward next season. Houston gets the homecourt despite being a lower seed by having a better record than the Jazz.
