mccain just cannot compliment obama, even when the moderator tries to ask him to do so. fortunately, obama has been presidential saying mccain has been right on several points. how can you be president when you can't even admit your opponent is right on some things, even if you don't agree with everything he says. the audience's response nearly reached the peak when obama responded just now. he's doing superb.
Obama came out bigger man. He gave credit to McCain on torture. When Obama and McCain have agreed on some issues he has said so. McCain sounds like a bitter man. And at times he has flat out LIED.
that red/blue divergence when mccain brought up iraq was the biggest of the night. unfortunately for mccain, the green line went with the blue line.
Obama just doesn't show any respect. He's playing very poorly to senior citizens with his disrespectful laughing, interruptions and calling McCain "John". McCain is acting presidential
again, the next president has to be able to sit down and talk to people he may not agree with and express his points. an argument/conflict is solved when you are able to look at all sides, and not just your side. mccain has not once said obama is right on ANY issue, even when jim, the moderator, asked him to. obama has admitted several times mccain is right on torture for instance, among some other issues. that's the leader we need. obama is that type of leader. i think he can handle foreign leaders, esp. those in the axis of evil, much better just b/c of this trait. mccain would trigger a war after sitting down for like 10 seconds.
yeah, mccain needs to cool the "obama doesn't understand" line. he's used it a lot and it comes off badly. obama knows how to agree with mccain when they actually do agree and then explain their differences, which is how you should debate, imo.
Yes, you're right. Sometimes I see, sometimes I don't, sometimes they're all so close it's hard to distinguish. I can't believe McCain accused Obama of inflexibility (like the current admin, his words) when many of McCain's points seemed much more hardline than Obama tonight.
Pretty clear that McCain was the victor. Obama tried to skate by with his one-liners, but voters will see right through that.
that's what you called being personal. he respects mccain as a person and as a war hero. what better way to serve respect than to call him by his first name. i only call people by their first name if i respect or know the person well. apparently, obama respects mccain.
