i'm always surprised armstrong didn't flub the line more. can you imagine, you're the first person in history to set foot on the moon and billions of people are watching, all that energy that must be flowing through you, and now you're expected to deliver a line. that's gotta be tough. plus, i was just watching this special on the landing and apparently it was plenty stressful. like they almost didn't land b/c they didn't think they'd have enough fuel. and then almost didn't get off the moon b/c the button to start the rocket to get off the moon broke and they had to use a non-metallic pen to push it in and take off. with all the millions of things they must've worried about during that flight, getting the line down had to be pretty tough. and it almost sounds better and flows better without the "a" in it even if the "a" makes more sense. man that show was great. of course i was like 10 so it probably actually sucked.
They left out a "Hey!" in Dwayne's catchphrase from "What's Happenin'". There were always four "Hey!"s. They missed a ton from SNL. "Never mind!" "We're here to pump...you up!" "We are from France." "Cheeburger, cheeburger, cheeburger. No coke, Pepsi." Not to mention ALL the Weekend Update signoffs. Any of those should replace that w****, Paris Hilton.
what about Steve Urkel - "Did I Do Thaaaat?" Uncle Jessie - "Have Mercy!" Fozzy Bear - "Waka Waka Waka" Horrible Sports Announcer on the News - "BOOM goes the Dynamite!!!!"
I have a hard time considering something said once a catchphrase. That seems more like just a quote to me. When I think of a catch phrase, I think of something used over and over again, like when Bart became the "I didn't do it" boy.
