Name calling BS, expected. sigh. Taxes are the price we pay to live in a civilized society. Sigh, again. The rich have been engaging in class warfare since time began, they are just pissed that the rest of us have been effectively fighting BACK for the last century or so. I do have to snicker a bit at you thinking you even have the ability to educate me. FYI, I will receive my MBA in May, I have had a significant amount of education with regards to business. An issue that arises when talking about how and why creditors are favored when we bail out some companies that are "too big to fail." I'm not certain why you are bringing it up in this discussion... Every single dollar is taxed multiple times, this isn't a problem, it is just reality. Dividend tax in Canada ranges up to 30% for high income individuals... High income individuals are taxed at 22.5% on dividends in the UK... In France, dividends are taxed at 13.5% for their social security system BEFORE charging income tax on 60% of the rest of the dividends paid. I would be OK with giving some favorable treatment to dividends paid, but it should not allow people like Mitt Romney to have an effective tax rate UNDER 15% when people who work have to pay a LOT more than that. I'm not the one who received a lesson today, nor am I the one who got PWNED by the facts. Now go back to the echo chamber to see if you can find a justification for the very wealthy to pay less in taxes than people who have to work for a living.
Actually....we should just get rid of congressmen and let each fortune 500 company appoint a representative.
